...I have been driving the Ford Focus 1.6 Titanium five door for about sixteen months now. I had not owned a Ford for quite a while and wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it as a new company car. I had been told they were good, but you never really know until you try it for yourself. Anyway, from the moment the car was delivered I can honestly say that it has been a wondeful car to own. Some people have criticised the look of it, personally I think they look modern, stylish and 'appropriate'. What I mean by that is that the Ford Focus is a family car. It is not a Porsche, Ferrari or Lambo, it is a Ford designed to carry a family around comfortably, and it does that very well. The old Focus was good to drive and very reliable. Only broken down once and due to my own fault. After getting it fixed, I thought I would drive it for years.
Then, I drove the Focus II Trend (Titanium without the alloywheels)
And it feels epic. A step away from the ST, its suspension is extremely precise and fast, the 1.6 liter engine goes with the 5 speed manual gearbox like a dream.
The suspension might be a bit hard for rockier roads, but on the freeway, it is highly comfortable and the sensation, that the steering wheel gives you, is phenomenal.
And it is fast too. Mainly due to the round shaped front it is aerodynamic...
