Advantages: very refreshing Disadvantages: can be too good
...I perfer it in a Carling imprinted special pint glass, others who are a real lady perhaps little nervous may perfer a half glass which is not as special as the pint glass:) but does the trick all the same.
Today, I've gone a little crazy and have bought you a pint out of my own "Carling p up the wall account". This is an interactive experience that could catch on. Ok, lets start... Hold your horses....Now observe the subject matter first. The colour ... ...alcohol. I'm not sure though. Carling has a 3.5% alcohol volumn in one pint. Naturally the more Carling you intake the more you feel the alcohol. What you must note is when nature calls, the alcohol remains in your body......aaahh.
For the purpose of this review I have slowed down my intake speed. Obviously, you have not.............Did you actually taste it, my friend? Did you look at the small compact bubble forms that rise to the top of the special ...

Advantages: Refreshing change, not too alcohol'y tasting, 4.1% strength. Disadvantages: Can have a cheap image due to continous push marketing by Bass.
...a beer review! Carling is a long-standing lager available in the UK, and is a product of the Carling Brewing Company based in the traditional brewing town of Burton, Derbyshire. The Carling Company is part of the larger Bass Brewers group, a website of which can be found at, yes you’ve guessed it already – www.bassbrewers.com. Before I continue this is not my favourite lager, but it is one I drink from time to time, whether it be a supermarket special ... ...Kronie or Stella.
Ok, Carling is widely available, most of your pubs will sell it on draught, and it must be on sale in every supermarket and corner shop in the country, usually ‘on offer’ too. Out of the pub, you’ll find 440ml cans, 250ml stubby bottles and sometimes taller 300ml bottles, in a multitude of pack sizes, from ‘4 for the fridge’ to party sized 48 can whoppers. Quite simply all angles of potential sale have been covered off!
The one ...

A keg of Carling would cost me £6, really it does, so if you have that £6 we know Carling's on the way to a house near you, hopefully yours actually!
Its cheap, british and very friendly to you and your wallet!
The can is coloured black and white and has the familiar logo of the F.A Carling Premier League. It dosen't look like Heineken and Carlsberg which look great coming out of the fridge chilled dripping. It doesn't look completely ...

Advantages: Clean taste Disadvantages: Don't Drink and Drive you may spill some
Carling Black Label, the taste of Britain apparently, I would prefer a tasty dinner but as far as lager goes, it tastes ok and my Mr. Happy Shopper man gives me them at an exceedingly good price.
8 pint cans for seven pounds sterling, not a bad swap!
It tastes familiarly like other lagers. It Is 4.1% volume, so two halves of these will put you over the UK drink drive limit of two units. So beware.
My Mr. Carling is alright, he stays dormant and ... ...all, until he calls me and I let him out on occasion.
Lots of occasions actually, we do spend some time together.
Taste, you can't fault it, a quite strong drink at 4.1%, compared to- should I mention Mr. Foster here? who is so much weaker in character, thing is though he sometimes shares a shelf with Mr. Carling, so I have to be careful with what I say. Mr. Artois is a different matter, so I won't even mention him, he may be listenning in.
What ...

its not half bad Review ofCarling (Black Label) Lagerby
spikytom
...lager sort of person, and carling is up there with the best of them. basically its almost completely the same as fosters, which is a good thing in that its highly drinkable and quite cheap. the only bad thing about this is the low alcohol content (4.1%) if youre at all bothererd by that. it does lack some of the fuller flavour of other lagers like stella artois and budweiser, but this doesnt matter too much considering its very easy to drink. a nice ...

Advantages: A refreshing drink Disadvantages: Not nice if it isn't correctly served.
...A successful marketing campaign has ensured that CarlingBlackLabelLager is among the most successful and popular in the UK. Sponsorship of the Premier Football League is only one way that Carling has made sure that it has become a household name.
As far as medium strength lagers go Carling is fairly middle of the road. With an alcoholic strength of 4.1% it well below ever being categorised as a Premium Lager and as far as taste goes it is far from unique.
The price is also mid range averaging around £2.00 a pint in my area, although it is currently only £1.39 a pint in Wetherspoons but £2.02 in my local.
So why you may ask yourself has Carling been so successful?
It is my guess that if you took a group of ten people and blindfolded them before letting them taste Carling along with its closest competitors Fosters...

...As a real ale fanatic, it might surprise people to know that I enjoy the odd can or pint of Carling.
It is refreshing and has a distinctive and rather pleasing lager style hoppy taste. It is not pretentious. It does not give itself a fancy cod Germano-Belgic name.
It is CarlingblackLabelLager, like it or not, and that's all there is to it!
You can buy Carling on draught or in cans. On draught I can cost £1.50 to £2.00+ although this does dpend very much on the individual pub or restaurant.
When do I drink Carling? If there are no real ales available or if I am extremely hot and bothered and want something cooling and refreshing I find that there's nothing like a pint of Carling. Oh. Perhaps there is. Maybe two pints of Carling!...

In the 70's, it was Watneys Red Barrel with its flat fizzy pop appeal - but the 80's and 90's belonged to CarlingBlackLabel with that luvverly theme song 'CARLINGBLACKLABEL' (what else?) sung in a very loud voice on the way home from the pub or watching the ads in the middle of Crossroads...
I must have got drunk more times on CarlingBlackLabellager than any other drink - don't know why I bothered really because it was just like yellow pop, all flat but quite bloating, not a very nice taste at all and left you with a bad head the next day, rather like Ciao's recent meddling with what had been a lovely website, never working very...
