Carlsberg Lager

I find Carlsberg beer to be a really good treat at a pub and also drinking responsibly at home. I have had recommendations of this beer in the past from previous visits to a local pub near me. I find that this brand traditionally has been advertised quite regularly and with confident adverts on the television and in other media sources. In short what I liked about Carlsberg is nowadays the alcohol by volume ratio is only 3.8% which is not strong by any means and is very refreshing at the same time. I normally like a glass of wine but a friend of mine had given me a few cans of Carlsberg and having been drinking this the odd time when out as it's quite cheap, I kept them. I am not the biggest Carlsberg fan as it does make me feel awfully bloated but it is alright the odd time especially when it starts to get nearer the summer months. It was also nice to have a change from the wine as I find this tends to go down easier especially out of the fridge after it has chilled nicely. I am not really a beer drinker however spirits and strong alcoholic beverages really get me drunk so fast and I tend to get really aggressive so over time I have learnt to drink less alcoholic drinks to which beer serves its purpose well. Tonight my mate and I stayed in and ordered a lovely Indian take away and to go with it we had a glass a wine each and a couple of beers, lovely to chill with whilst watching celebrity big brother! I love Carlsberg and I drink it all the time, I am a student so drinking is high up on the agenda. My friends are all telling me to drink something better, or at least a better lager. The reason that I like Carlsberg is that it is easy and can be had with anything. It is best served chilled, but I find that it can be drunk at room temperature with no problem. It has a fairly low alcohol percentage, again this can be seen as a positive or a negative. I like the taste, even though there isn't much of one there. Ahh, the beer of choice for me and my friends as 18-19 year olds (we're 22 now) with little money and nothing to do. Every weekend we would club our 'savings', gather maybe £20 and buy a couple of crates for the weekend. 30 cans for 3 maybe 4 of us...perfect. The lager itself is reasonably nice and easy to drink and doesn't leave any nasty after-tastes in your mouth. It's not the best in the world, yet it has a nice light taste, which is refreshing for a lager.
