The Sony Alpha 350 digital SLR camera is a fantastic addition to the Sony Alpha range.
The introduction of a LIve View system and tiltable LCD screen make it a really good camera for enthusiasts that are making the leap from digital compact or bridge cameras.
Before buying the Alpha 350 I used a Sony DSC F-717 and found shooting with the 350s automatic mode to be a doddle but it has plenty of features to keep the more experienced photographer happy.
I find all of the buttons to be in pleasing positions and have no trouble handling the camera for both landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical) aspect pictures.
The standard 25-70 mm lens kit that comes with most offers is a good performer although I find the autofocus does struggle very occasionally when shooting macro pictures.

Little Tikes Junior Activity Gym

Most crèches or children?s play areas seem to have one of these activity gyms and they looked bright and colourful so we decided to get one for my brothers first birthday.
The activity gym as shown in the picture is made up of four side panels, each with holes in for the child to climb through. There is a small bright pink slide and a blue floor, which the children can go under or climb on to go down the slide.
As we unpacked the activity gym it looked relatively simple to assemble, as it was really just a case of slotting the panels together but don?t be fooled! One thing I never understand is that the call charges to India are much higher than to New Zealand even though India is nearer the UK geographically.
REFUNDS
One annoying feature of low cost phone companies is that often money disappeared from my account even though no phone call was made or the line was busy.
The customer service staff at Alpha is generally helpful in this respect and any lost money was refunded within a few days. But some of them did look down on us as if to say how dare we ask for a refund.
Normally the money loss is due to some faulty software ...
