...I have been using the GHD straigheteners for two years now and i have not had any problems so far! They heat up instantly and are very easy to use and they leave your hair sleek and straight! I have bought many straigheteners over the years including Carmen Girls, Remington and Vidal Sasson and I can say for sure that the GHD ones are by far the best. I bought them on jasonshankey.co.uk and they cost me around £90 including next day delivery! They even came with a thermal hair protector spray and a heat mat! They give you good value for your money. But make sure that you use some sort of heat protection spray on your hair before applying the straigheteners as the heat can really damage your hair!... Advantages: Gives a great natural curl to straight hair.
Disadvantages: Lasts longer if you use products to keep the curl and the name is really tacky!!!

...this section by section until your whole head of hair is a beautiful mane of flowing curls!!! Depending oh how long and thick your hair is will depend on how long it takes but for my hair, and I do have a lot, it takes about 25-30 minutes to do. You can create tight ringlets or loose curls depending on how long you hold the hair in the heat. I recommend 30 seconds for each strand of hair, you might need more for really thick hair. The curler has a large water "resivior" which holds water supplying steam when you press it down. This helps to hold the curl in place longer and adds moisture to the hair which avoids damage as much as possible! It is quite a light hair curler which is good as some make your arm ache before you finish your whole head! (not a good look!!) ...the steam bursts moisturize), and running your fingers through a section beautifully separates them into more individual curled strands. So for me, these work to amazing effect. I can only assume that it was the weight of my long hair that caused the curls to fall out. The only reason I've given them four stars (and not five) is that it would have been great to have long curly hair (but I'm beginning to think that in my case, that was a physical impossibility!) So, if you've got short to medium length hair, do not think twice before investing in these tongs. However if you've got long, long hair (or really limp lank hair that doesn''t hold a curl) you might want to give them a miss.
