CarmexLip Balm
I have started to use Carmex lipbalm on a friend's recommendation and I was surprised to see and feel how well it worked! I've always suffered of dried and cracky lips particularly in winter and even if I always was equipped with lip balms and spent quite some money on it as I preferred stuff like Labello, it never really had a long-term effect. Neutrogena wasn't all bad either, but I have to say Carmex was where the revolution in lip care has come.
Package
Carmex comes in a form of a lipstick, a little jar and a squeezable tube. The jars were introduced already back in 1937! All containers are in red+yellow and black which remind me of beeswax somehow. It gives impression of sth natural and good for your health.

Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream lip protectant stick
I bought this as an alternative to my usual lip gloss and because I was after something which would hopefully keep my lips soft and stop them from chapping in this weather.
PROMISES, PROMISES?
The product contains Vitamin E and is SPF15 so lips should be fine in the sun. It is also clinically and dermatologically tested and promises to soften and smooth lips.
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING
The lipstick comes in a white box with the shade colour on the end of the box and some information about the product on the side of the box. There is a small information leaflet inside the box but this actually has nothing to do with the actual product but in fact has information written in several languages about other Elizabeth Arden products.

Advantages: Soothing, Moisturizing, Ease of use. Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
the same as the tub too which is a menthol smell with a hint of vanilla, I like the smell but I can see some people not being that keen if they don?t like strong smells. As I put the balm on my lips it started to tingle, it also glides on smoothly and isn?t too thick. Once the tingling stops it soothes my dry lips and makes them feel fresh again. You do still feel like you have the product on and it takes a while to sink in which I like. I don?t have to keep reapplying it, which is good in the winter months. I would defiantly recommend this product, this has to be my favourite lip balm and I always have a tube on hand. The tube lasts me a good three months, which is great as I fine some lip balms only last a couple of weeks as you have to keep reapplying them.
