None of the games are as easy as they look and your computer controlled opponents will natuarally appear to be expert and high-scoring right from the word "go" so don't be disheartened or disillusioned if you don't immediately win any points or achieve the success of your competitors. Perseverance will lead to developing skills and the occasional stroke of good luck yielding better results and scores that will win you prizes such as new items of clothing for your Mii. Concentrate on the fact that these games are just meant to be a bit of fun so don't take any at all seriously.
You start by being invited to create a Mii. If you already have these then you may take them to the store and look at the clobber you can win as you amass points. (Unfortunately this whacky wear is nothing like my preference for black suit, dress white shirt and bow tie that I wear myself.)
The purpose of all this fairground fancy is to get you used to weilding the Wiimote and Numchuck effectively. This will stand you in good stead for dealing with more advanced games that require by turns both mastery and delicacy.
The graphics are cartoon style, colourful and very busy with detail. At first I found all the colour, movement and competing CPU-controlled contestants distracting when I was trying to concentrate on my own game.
This was especially true of games where I had to throw a ball or something. With all the other contestants making their throws at random intervals and scoring hits I couldn't at first work out how I was doing.
Aapart from these distractions the games arefun and endlessly repeatable. The rating of 3+ is about right, all the games are quite suitable wor really young children to play. If the graphics and characters appeal to your kids you can happily leave them in front of the screen to while away hours messing about and developing their motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination in an enjoyable and safe way.
NB - TVs with really big screens and decent sound through good loudspeakers are a must for this and many other Wii games.
