Each Carol Priest product contains a unique and simple blend of proven botanicals. No mineral oils are used, instead oils and emulsifiers extracted from plants act as carriers for the principal ingredients. All colours are derived from natural sources.

Synthetic fragrances, responsible for most allergic skin reactions, have been replaced with the subtle, natural fragrances of unadulterated essential oils and natural aromatic oils. A creamy facial scrub that looks rather like a jar of thick porridge and smells of lemon balm. There are no artificial fragrances or colours, no mineral oils and no synthetic preservatives in this product and each batch of cosmetics is so fresh that it has an expiry date!

*~~How to Use~~*

Massage gently into skin with warm water and splash rinse thoroughly. For best results the face scrub should be used within 6 months of opening. The label also recommends that a patch test is done before going on to using the product. On the Apothecary's Cat website (where I bought it from) it also says that it can be used as a protein-rich face masque, although I've not tried it like this yet.

*~~Effect~~*

Clean, fresh feeling skin that has a lovely fresh smell of lemon balm. This has got to be the most gentle facial scrub I have ever used. It is so gentle that you don't even feel it working, although it makes my skin feel lovely after using it.

Distilled water, sweet almond meal and sweet almond oil(prunus amygdalus dulcis), glycerin,cetaryl glucoside and cetaryl alcohol, lactoperoxydase and glucose oxidase, rosemary leaf extract (rosmarinus officianalis), styrax benzoin resin extract, natural non-GMO vitamin E oil (tocopherol acetate), alcohol, lemongrass oil (cymbopogen schoenanthus), lemonbalm leaf oil (melissa officianalis), manuka oil (leptospermum scoparium).

I would recommend this product wholeheartedly to anyone that likes their facial preparations to be of high quality and full of pure, fresh ingredients. I'd also recommend it if you like to pamper yourself every day or would just like to treat a friend to something nice. I have been using this product since Easter of this year and I'm onto my third jar (admittedly one was of the 15g size which they didn't have in stock when I researched this review)! I think it is gorgeous!
