... Caroline's sweet character means that she is the butt of many jokes, but she has another, stronger side to her. The romantic tension between her and the rather lovely (if miserable) Richard is great. He is really the opposite of Caroline and the dynamic between these two characters just works. Dell ... Gentle comedy

AdvantagesGood characters, nice contrasts and gentle humour

DisadvantagesNot outstanding original

"...is really the opposite of Caroline and the dynamic between these two characters just works. Dell is a personal favourite of mine. The farcial situations into which he places himself really make me laugh. As Caroline's, well, agent I suppose, he plays all to small a role though! Caroline's best friend (and her best friend's mother) create another set of farces. The characters are all very colourful and they are different enough (without being totally ..." Read review

Caroline in the city

AdvantagesRichard is sooooo funny

Disadvantagesnot as good some shows around

"Caroline in the city was first aired on channel 4 but now has taken its place on paramount comedy channel. I quite enjoyed this show as it does have its funny moments. But it wasn’t a great hit in my book though. The plot- Lea Thompson (back to the future) plays Caroline Duffy a cartoonist who draws from her friends and experiences to draw her successful comic strip ‘ Caroline in the city ‘. Caroline’s works with brooding ..." Read review

I love Caroline!

AdvantagesHilarious, Great Chemistry between the cast

DisadvantagesIts on a pay-tv channel

"I've watched Caroline in the City ever since the show first started, and from the first episode I was hooked. The show doesn't rely on one liners to keep the viewers watching, they have a great ongoing storyline, characters who have an amazing chemistry with one another, and an absolutely hilarious script. I originally watched this show when it was on Channel 4, but then Paramount Comedy recently obtained the show, but I have to say the show just ..." Read review

Funny Ha ha.

AdvantagesThe wonderful Lea Thompson

DisadvantagesGetting a bit long in the tooth

"I first started to watch 'Caroline when I was looking after my baby daughter, when it was broadcast on C4 in the UK. Then it was HILARIOUS! Sometimes I'd laugh 'till my sides ached! Now, a couple of years down the line and the lovey Lea Thompson is exec-producer on the show and its showing signs of getting a bit tired. Maybe I've changed but it doesn't seem quite so funny now. Lea Thompson is still as lovely as ever and the other characters still ..." Read review
