I have being using Noteworthy Composer (NWC as it is known) since... 1997. I tell you, this application is a BEAUTY!
After using it for almost one year as a shareware, I finally decided to give the $39 that it comes for, and get the full thing. No serious difference really, the only hitch in the shareware is that you cannot save more than 10 times the same file (a problem that can be easily overcome by the glorious application of Cut and Paste...). The prog is good for writing printable music scores, MIDI files, MIDI playback, and very good for music education. In this review I will include alot of tekkie details, but if you havent got a clue on sampling and electronic music, head for the BEGGINERS' INFO section. Where shall I start?

Advantages: The ability to save the entire image as a single unit, and as separate pieces that can be pulled apart and altered as needed later on Disadvantages: The animation features aren't too user friendly, and changing the color of a solitary item within a picture is easier done with paint brush.
I am a web author and use Microsoft Image Composer (MIC) all the time in conjunction with Front Page. They work well together. The tutorial is well worth going through, and for the most part the program is user friendly. I prefer Adobe Photoshop to MIC when it comes to fixing or enhancing a photograph. However when it comes to sharpening up a photograph, MIC is much better than Adobe. Adobe over does it. MIC saves files in jpg, or gif. The jpg format does not allow transparency, which can be a drawback, since jpgs tend to have better quality. A unique feature I really like is the ability to save images in a "mic" format. When multiple images are layered, sized, colored, etc., jpg or gifs save the entire image as one unit. For example I put three clip art pictures together (a CD,book,and T-Shirt, with the words Book Store over ...

a handy program that is great for people who want to learn how to design web pages. I use this program for my web site when I need do simple html pages. I really like this program and have been using it for about five years.
I made my first web page with Netscape composer before I moved on to more advanced
programs. I was able to learn all the basics of what this sort of program can do for a web designer. It is a basic program but still has a lot of features that I have outlined in this review.
