Like most dedicated magazines specialising in a particular subject it goes quite in depth in some areas but it is a reccommended read to the serious angler.
Features such as the News Round-up are particularly useful to keep up to date with the ... ...fishing.
I find the Catchlines section an interesting read as you get to see some of the large fish caught by anglers country wide together with a write up about where and how they caught their quarry. A section on the latest baits and a column by their regular columnist Simon Crow further enhance this excellent magazine.

...angler who is already into carp fishing rather than any new comers to the sport. Alot of people who come to dabble in the world of carp fishing are put off by the mentality of some off the carping world that you have to have the all singing and all dancing geaar and be the best. Sure we would all like to catch 30 or 40lb fish, but to most mortls a twenty is probably the best we could hope for. So i would like to see more about the basic's in this ...

...the only weekly dedicated to carp fishing.
I buy it almost religiously, just to keep up to date on what has been caught and where. It really is a nice mag, you can get it weekly for just over £1,50 so it wont break the bank. And its not too thick so after reading you need a brain transplant haha.
It really is a nice balance, A few of the major storys at the start, then moving onto the regional catch reports, lets you know what is being caught near ...
