Carpet Right Retail Outlet

When I came to write this review I couldn't help but see how low this shop has scored and so I read through some of the reviews and am really surprised by the poor service people experienced. Our experience was a good one but I think it does show that it will depend upon your own store and the staff they have in during the day. Perhaps we were just lucky. Dont do it, just dont ever subject yourself to the stress and trauma of ever buying a carpet from these cowboys. I did and have about two hundred grey hairs to show for the experience. Truthfully I experienced the worst customer service ever and downright abuse, A month ago I ordered a carpet for my daughter's bedroom, I paid £223.40on the day and was told the carpet would be delivered in approximately two weeks time. ~ Carpet Right ~I have used Carpet Right numerous times in the past, occasionly I have bought carpet for a bedroom but mostly I have used them to buy carpet for my stairs.Previous to moving here, my house had laminate floor everywhere except my bedroom and the stairs. I needed a carpet for my hallway and stairs and I saw all the sale prices advertised so visited Carpet Right in Bristol which said they had 50% off and then an extra 20% until Wednesday. I was thinking that I would get a real bargain! Rubbish Customer Service: What actually happened is that I asked for advice from behind the counter and was grunted at a bit. He gave me a quote for fitting the carpet (including a £30 charge for delivery even though they would be driving to my house to fit the thing). 20metre square area would cost about £300 to fit before I'd even included a carpet. After reading all the very bad reviews about Carpet Right I was almost convinced not to buy from them. But since they are the only carpet dealer in my area, I decided to go to the shop and take a look at what they had anyway. I went there 1 month ago, the choice was good and they were having their summer sales. Everything had about 20-50% discount and the carpets not on sale were clearly marked as such. The carpet I liked was 100% wool, neutral colour £34.99 per sq metre and also had 50% discount. I had all the measurements with me so they guy was able to give me a very accurate quote.
