This company should be banned from trading in the UK. I had nothing but grief with them after buying a phone that broke while under warranty. They tried to accuse me of damaging the phone myself, then they made me wait over 2 weeks for a repair. I was told on the phone that I could get a replacement handset but I was not actually even offered a courtesy phone! They did not ring me to let me know when the phone was available to collect from the store ... ...their stores. All I was met with was obstruction and officiousness . Also they were rude and obstructive to my wife when she visited the store to ask about my phone repair taking so long. AVOID THIS OUTLET unless you enjoy wasting hours on the phone trying to get even a bare minimum of customer service. ...

My experience of the carphone warehouse (CPW)? Absolutely woeful! Below are bullet points from one of the letters I sent them, immediately after cancelling my contract. Order from them at your own risk...
o 23rd January, iphone ordered from your website. Paid £96.87 for the handset, based on the £35/month tariff. Check bank and can see money has been debited
o 24th January, receive e-mail saying "payment card declined". Too late to call you to ... ...bank statement shows successful transaction. Sales advisor asks for card details once again, for a 1p test transaction, and gives assurance that another £96.87 will not be debited. Assured phone will be delivered to store on the 26th, for collection on the 27th
o 25th January, check bank and find a second charge of £96.87 taken from account
o 26th January, call to complain at double charge and ask for an explanation. Advisor seemed very unsure ...

I Bought an iPhone as a Christmas present from The Carphone Warehouse in Sunderland for my son what turned out to be faulty after using it for a few hours. I contacted Apple who said it was beyond repair and needed replaced. The Carphone Warehouse would not replace the handset and I had to go through Apple (who have fantastic support) and pay £29 for a replacement handset. The Carphone Warehouse has the worst customer support ever, they just didn't ... ...no reimbursement, although the poor girl who dealt with my problem did try everything she could, it's just a shame the manager of the Sunderland store was not so efficient, how do these people get a managers position? Apple said if I have bought from an o2 store they would have replaced the phone without issue but The Carphone Warehouse have 'different policies'. Poor Service
I chose CW for their low prices, but should have heeded their terrible online reviews. After I ordered a Sat Nav for next-day delivery I got an email saying they were out of stock. After dealing with a friendly representative on the phone for about an hour, he assured me that my order would be dispatched and delivered the next day. It wasn't, and each day I called back, I was told again that the order would be delivered the next day. It has now been 4 days and they still tell me it hasn't been dispatched but it will be tomorrow. I canceled my order, and although I paid by direct debit, they're refunding me by check. I hope it actually arrives. ...
