Advantages: Top and end openings Disadvantages: Top opening is a bit fiddly
This is the best cat carrier I've ever had!. I show my Cats so I opted for the larger carrier Tonga 3 ( fits two comfortably), but it is avaliable in three sizes. Tonga 1 50cmx33cmx32cm £17.99 Tonga 2 57cmx37cmx36cm £ 22.99 Tonga 3 64cmx43cmx43cm £27.99 My main criteria was wheels and easy access. This box has a very easily opened large front door which enables a 'two hand' removal. The catch is very easy to use. It is a bar which you push both ......and the bottom of the door. It both feels and looks secure. The top opening is almost the entire surface of the top which gives great access also. It is clear so it is good to be able to look in to check on the occupants. There is also a little storage compartment in the lid ( about 6x4x2 inches) which is ideal for storing the optional strap. there is also a identification plate which comes with 6 inserts for you to fill in your details. ...from a good home, or where in desperate need of a good home. Unfortunately I could never get my parents to let me have another pet, as they 'did not want the hassle/responsibility'. Once I moved out of my parents house I could not afford to get a largerpet and as I was only living in a flat I was concerned that one would not have enough room, therefore I ended up getting a pet rat (but if you want to know about my pet rat, or the cats which I have ......I the above period, I was still regularly given the opportunity to get other cats, but regretably had to turn them down. Finally I moved out of my flat and into a 2 bedroomed terrace with my boyfriend. I had been living there for over a year and desperately wanted a new pet (My rats had died before I moved in and he was scared of them, and so I wasn't allowed to get any more). As my birthday approached I managed to pesuade him into letting me get ... Read review

...players in the market is Ferplast and over the last 20+ years I have been the proud owner of their cat carriers. Five years ago when I was setting out to bring home a new kitten it seemed only fair to provide her with her very own brand new carrier that she could enjoy for a lifetime. I purchased the Ferplast Atlas carrier shown in the picture above - you can either buy this complete with cushion and water bowl for around £15 or without (classed ......break. I chose the Ferplast because it gives me the features I like in a good carrier. It is robust and rigid which means it will stack for storage in the short term and you can take it apart for longer term storage. If it is in the car with other things and they slide the cat is secure and protected - I am not much of a fan of the new 'soft sided' bags as I don't feel they would offer any protection in a car if there was an impact. The title of this opinion has nothing whatsoever to do with carrying this box, but the fitting together of it, well the attempt of anyway. The box itself is made of strong durable plastic (in a variety of colours you can get a rather fetching fushia pink one I personally went for the turquoise, not so gaudy), which is very easy to wipe clean. The handle is very well secured and has never come adrift in the 5 years I have had it. The top section ......the back, to enable the animal (in my case a cat) to have some view and ventilation. Do beware of putting your fingers through these, as you are likely to receive a nasty scratch from your animal! The front of the box has the door, which opens outwards to allow maximum room for your pet. The bottom section is solid plastic, with a gap for the door at the front. The gate for the box is plastic coated metal, which shows no sign of rusting or the plastic ... Read review
Advantages: Easy to open in an emergency and easy to clean. Disadvantages: None
The Cityhopper pet carrier is available in two sizes, small ((H) 29cm x (W) 35cm x (D) 50cm), which is suitable for cats and large ((H) 40cm x (W) 40cm x (D) 60cm), which is suitable for large cats and small dogs. It is manufacturered from high grade plastic and is easy to clean. It is lightweight with a comfortable strong plastic handle on the top, this is extremely important to me as I often need to carry two Maine Coon Cats which between them ......is fitted with a simple locking mechansim which allows for quick opening - this is extremely important if using to transport an injured animal - this enables the carrier's top to be taken off so that an injured animal can be lifted out rther than having to "pull" it out through the front opening of the carrier. The carrier has good visability, not only through the front door but also along the sides. The door to the carrier is quick and easy to ... Read review
