...my first 5 hours with Acclaim for £55, I had an hour and a half lesson, the car was acceptable it was a Renault Clio however the left hand side wing mirror was smashed and I asked if i could have a few lessons a week, my instuctor told me we'd talk about that later.
A week later I was due to have another lesson which was then cancelled 15 minutes before. It was re-arranged for the next week and that was fine, again I asked for multiple lessons, ... ...which in my opinion was because he wasn't getting a lot of money for those first few lessons he didn't want to use a lot of his time on them. The next lesson was arranged for exactly a week later, I was text about an hour or two before the lesson that it was again cancelled due to a family thing and that I could have an hour free which was fine. When he didn't get in contact for a week we rang the company to complain giving them all the details and ...
...spotted an immaculate, second-hand 2006-registered Peugeot sitting to one side and asked for a look inside. The salesman got the key, pressed a button on the key fob and the driver’s door slid open automatically. We were hooked. Watching the doors opening and closing, backwards and forwards, was mesmerising. And as we climbed inside it suddenly changed from a tiny car to a spacious saloon, Tardis-like, at least from our perspective sitting in the ... ...of the Mitsubishi…
The Peugeot 1007 Sport
Fortunately, my son decided against buying the Peugeot – he had to pay for repairs to get his Proton through its MOT and decided to run it for a while longer before trading it in. So I casually mentioned to Mrs Floon that we’d seen this amazing little car, a Peugeot 1007, and it had sliding doors and whatnot, had a high roof, a semi-automatic gearbox, and CUP HOLDERS!!! But our lad had decided not to buy ...
...set out to buy a Seat Ibiza but it just happened to be there at the right place at the right time. Living on the Isle of Wight you seem to pay even more for second hard cars as the dealers are not as plentiful as on the mainland and you are really limited to where to go. With this in mind, I decided to take my luck and buy a car off eBay! Knowing absolutely nothing about cars how much could go wrong! I was watching this particular Seat Ibiza because ... ...cars. The Seat Ibiza we have is called a "Chill" and it does have a slightly annoying sticker which says this on the side and back of the car. There is no point picking this off as it would probably not come off very easily and I am not overly bothered by it. The interior of the car looks perhaps slightly better than it is, as there is a tape deck player which is contained within a digital panel which displays the temperature of the car both inside ...
The Corsa drives well, to be fair I haven't driven a top car so I don't have much to compare it with but the handling seems fine to me, I've never had any problems with it. It is easy to drive, a great first car. It's easy to park with its relatively small size, it's even easier to park with parking sensors. On a random note with parking sensors, I have four not two sensors which is useful but also annoying, they do beep when obstacles are to the ... ...But that is what they are there for, they are worthwhile unless you have a big thing against high pitch beeping. Very useful for new drivers, gives them extra confidence. Personally, I prefer the old style Corsa than the new style. It seems to me that cars are all looking the same nowadays and the recent Corsa change is a lot chunkier than the one I have. The interior is nice, no ugly prints on the seats and it has your standard plastic casing. The ...
I've had my fiat punto for over a year now - i originally bought it from a friend who kept it in good nick, regularly serviced it and didn't drive it like a mad man. It had done 44000 and it is a W plate. Since i've had it i've done 7000 miles and i have to say that it has been quite a pleasurable experience driving the punto. A lot of my driving is around the city so a little car like the punto takes the sting out of driving in the city. Its nippy ... ...the back and also in the boot. I've moved house 3 times since having the car and each time used the punto to move my stuff and have found it can take quite a load! I've had my wing mirror broken by someone speeding down the road and found that original punto parts are expensive - £70!! but i found a like for like replacement on ebay. The car is economical on the petrol, low insurance and quite decent to drive on the motorway. Not to loud in the cabin. ...
First of all I have not passed my Driving test yet!! But I still want to share my experience with everyone so far on my journey to gain that little bit of pink plastic, and I do hope that I will be writing a review soon about how pleased and excited I'am to have passed and all that jazz. It all started when I moved down to Bristol from London ( it sounds like I'm in AA!) And as I have relied on public transport growing up in London, I didn't think ... ...to mention having left it a bit late ( I'm 25) But I just couldn't go another bitter winter doing the school run on foot. So come April 2010 I applied fro my provisional licence which took way to long to arrive and which the dog almost chewed to bit's ( I thought you had to sign for it! and you wonder why theres identity fraud!) And that alone cost me £50. Then came the lessons which my instructor insist it only be 2 hour +. So I thought it would ...
