Advantages: Velocity and touch sensitive. Great MIDI, and great unique sounds. Disadvantages: Some sounds seem mellower then other CZ series synths.

I use an equal number of Casio and Korg keyboards in my setup, and I think of it almoast like hot and cold knobs (with the Casio always being the cold) Many of the sounds are very liquid, and sometimes like water, snow and ice being poured onto different shape pieces of different types of metal. I got this keyboard on Ebay for $165.00. After using it for awhile, I now prefer this to the other CZ series synths. At first it seems like it has less power then the other CZ synths, but it's only the touch and velocity sensitivity (which I discovered can be turned off) It has twice the memory for patches as it's predecessor (CZ-5000) it has a backlit LCD screen, Midi in out and thru, you can name your patches, and turn the midi on or off with the push of a button! (This works nicely if you have a pattern playing through the midi, and you want to quickly throw a lead down. Also if you don't want to kick the midi right out, there is a solo key which just allows the lead part your playing to cut through the mix more. But now the main part: The sounds. Wow. This thing is great. That's the closest description I can think of. One thing you can be sure of however, is that these keyboards sound unique. They are built like a tank, and weigh in at 40 pounds, but that's why there are so many of them in top notch shape left in the world. The chorus and volume slider caps are usually missing, but they work fine without the caps, and you wouldn't probably want to use the volume slider anyways.
