Advantages: tax button, solid construction Disadvantages: none !
...I have owned my CasioDF-120TE for about 2 years now. I can guess what your saying, a calculator is a calculator . . . which to most people it is, but I use this for work, around 2000 key strokes a day, so I need a solid one, and one that I can trust.
I'm sure we've all had times when we've entered in our calculation, and the answer has appear, which is complete rubbish, sometime due to human error, but mainly because the calculator has not recognized the key stroke. This one is solid, and accurate though. It has hard plastic buttons, not the soft ones which lead to a lot of mistakes, and the buttons are well spaced.
Another key feature is the Tax- and Tax+ buttons. A lot of the time I have a price which I need to add VAT to, or take VAT off of, and I know the calculation is not difficult, but it's a whole to easier if you can...

...on solar power.
When I got my first solar powered calculator I had to keep it out to the light so that it would be charged at all times, if you used it too much it would slowly flatten and eventually stop working. The price of this item is around £9, this is a normal calculator, if instead you need a scientific one be prepared to fork out at least £20.00. I am pretty sure ebay would offer bargains or you could get discounts though your stationary supplier if you do work in an office for example.
If you need more information about the company pop to www.casio.co.uk. You can gather all sorts of information in there, I am sure most of you have heard of this brand and know they do not only produce...

Advantages: Good Price, Does that it says it will, Solar powered Disadvantages: None that i can think of
...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price).
The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus.
The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys.
This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. It is primarily aimed at secondary school student but i reckon it will be fine for almost any function unless you need the functions of a graphic calculator
It is solar powered so it doesn't require any batteries in order to function however as with all solar powered products, you just...
