Casio D 20 TER

Advantages: Excellent image quality, high resolution, great ergonomics, superb high ISO performance, Weathersealed.
Disadvantages: Less than average FPS, and AF speeds, Heavy.

...I purchased the pentax K20D as my second digital SLR camera. So far, it has performed to the highest standard, and for my purposes has outclassed other cameras that I have tried (Canon 40D, Nikon D80). Its high resolution sensor of 14.6mp provides excellent image quality, and great low light, high ISO performance. I would say that, compared to other manufacturers, the auto focus on the Pentax K20D is slightly worse in darker situations, and the frames per second are lower (3FPS compared to most manufactureres 5FPS), which are vital for action and sports photographers, however as a landscape photographer these features did not worry me - the ergonomics and image quality alone were enough to make me buy this camera. There is however "The Casio Calculator Adventure-Island" game for the kids - http://world.casio.com/kids/ I have no idea of the price my company paid for this, but you can get them for about £35 nowadays. They are the real McCoy, if you have ever seriously used a mobile phone calculator for anything more than a simple sum, then you will understand the difficulty, these are designed with the term "user friendly" in mind. They have the usual large telephone style 12 digit display. They also incorporate 3 Euro conversion rates, this is a useful feature for converting currencies, and it has a Tax function. ...This was my first Digital SLR(single lens reflex) the Canon 20D. I had previously owned a Nikon and with good recommendations from my friends I decided to switch to Canon. The camera is very well built with strong controls and buttons. Surprisingly it is not heavy which helps balance out the camera nicely. The menu functions are very easy to use with simple sections with the help of the dial wheel. The dial wheel is a my favourite feature on this camera. It allows you to move easily through the menu and importantly through your photographs. You can navigate through your captured photographs with the slight turn of the dial wheel and it was this featured that interested me towards this camera.
