My main interests are in technology. I always seem to have things before other people! I love photography and movies. I have my digital camera everywhere I go and I've been involved in shooting short films over the past two years.

I got this camera as a replacement to one I wasn't happy with. Boy, I am so glad I got this one! It is fantastic.
I took my Casio EX-S600 away on holiday with me. Because of it's perfect size it was in my pocket for the entire duration of the holiday. It was at hand at the most convenient moments and because of that I managed to capture some of the best on-the-fly images.
The menus are so easy to use and a manual isn't really necessary. Even upgrading the firmware, which is normally a scary process due to the ability of wiping the internal software and nackering the whole thing, seemed a breeze.
Quickly switching to various ISO modes as well as the different flash modes is as simple as pushing up/down, or left/right. When you are out and about you want to be able to switch quickly without having to go into the menus, and Casio have done a good job by giving the ability to program buttons to do this.
The large screen on the back is perfect for lining up shots. I do think however that not having an optical view-finder, not to mention not having the ability to switch off this screen to save battery, is one of this cameras not-so-good points. Also, the camera takes a specific type of rechargeable battery, which means if you are out and not near a charger you may run out of power and not be able to pop into a shop to buy more batteries. Ah, the benefit of cameras that take AA batteries! However, on saying that, the battery is of a high quality and you can easily take several hundred shots with full flash before the battery indicator changes to one-less notch.
The quality of photos that come from this high-megapixel camera are very good. If your memory card isn't too big you can adjust the amount of megapixels you are capturing as well as the resolution quality. This is a great function and allows an avid photographer to adjust for quick shots which don't require high resolution, to full-res 6 megapixel mode and capture the better shots in much much higher detail.
Overall this is a great little camera and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a camera in a shirt or jacket pocket for their holidays.
As a side note, if you would like to see some example photos taken by this camera, please take a look at my gallery site.

(+) Ultra-compact dimensions, fun automatic tools, good performance for the asking price (-) Cluttered menu layout, camera buttons are scarce, specs are almost identical to the Samsung ES15
Advantages: Reliable, sturdy, stylish, very slimline camera, good range of colours Disadvantages: Are higher quality camera around for the same price, you might lose it!
Advantages: Great pictures, slim line design, easy to use menu system, excellent battery Disadvantages: Recharging becomes a pain with docking station, optical lens can brake in pocket
