I just bought this camera not so long ago. After playing around and testing out the camera for a while now, I must say it is up to my expectation.

Featuring 7.2 megapixels with 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, this camera promise a quality standard picture. The digital zoom is again not very useful but the optical zoom is superb. The viewfinder is a bit on the smaller scale and not very useful but the LCD screen is huge (2.0") and allow you to make the best adjustment and catch the right angle you need. The only thing is to prevent fingerprints and smudges to ruin it - as usual, the common culprit.

The buttons and keypad are all comfortable and easy to handle. There are USB as well as AV cable access at the side of the camera. This camera is compatible with any Secure Digital (SD) card as well as Multimedia (MM) card. It comes with bundled CD-Rom that stored all the instructions and manuals, 2x Alkaline batteries, USB cable, AV cable and wrist strap. There is no hassle at all connecting the camera to the computer with USB cable. No need to install anything extra.

This camera provides many variety of mode to photograph a picture. You can choose to manually set up the camera, adjusting the aperture and the shutter speed as you wanted or choose the automatic or the best mode options available. The best mode options already gives you a variety of setting for the view you wanted to capture. For instant, there are mode for food, text and collections, which is really for micro shots, depending on the items you want to shoot. There are so many options to choose from, you will be spoil having fun with this camera!

Another great option that I like so much with this camera compared to the old casio I had before was the ability for it to do voice recording. You can just record the voice, or even better, record MPEG movie with voice. The volume is adjustable and so far it has not disappointed me too badly. The quality is OK considering it is not a digital camcorder but nevertheless, I would say it gives a fair quality for a movie.

The look of the camera is slick and elegant by its own standard. Not too big and bulky but not too slim and easily lost. It is just at about the right, standard size. The camera is not that heavy and I have yet to test it's durability but based on my experience with casio camera before, i am reassured of the durability of this camera.

The only slight downpoint that I notice so far is the use of batteries. It seemed that this camera use up a bit more than the old casio I had. But I am convinced this is due to the more features they throw in with this camera as well as the big coloured LCD screen that could possibily take up more energy. But having said that, this camera only requires 2x Alkaline battery and if the camera suddenly die off somewhere, I'm sure it is not that difficult to find the alkaline battery - saving the hassle of rushing for the nearest power point to recharge the batteries.

All in all, I got this camera for only 150 quid and I personally think that is the best bargain ever for a digital camera with this specification.
