I bought a casio ex-z120 second hand for a family friend who wanted a cheap- handy -first time digital camera and I used it for a week to make sure I had got what he needed This is an excellent -easily used 7.2 mp digi and definately user friendly Casio have added a wheel selector so you can select a number of features -- best shot- auto-sound record-movie etc etc quickly without the usual method ie Menu- drop down options( which can confuse a novice ) I wasnt sure about the batteries - but decided that if necessary he could use re-chargable ones BUT I put basic alkaline Energiser batteries in and snapped 200 pictures opening and closing lens after each group of 5 ( 100 were with flash ) and the batteries wer still showing about 40% left SO I dont know why anyone says batteries dont last long ( no need for a charger and re-chargables on hols ) I printed off some photos on my own lexmakk and also cot some done at Jessops and am very happy with them You can buy one on E- bay around £30 and will not be disappointed Ps I use a Fuji finepix 12mp and it dosent do all that much better
