Advantages: Compact. Easy to use. Attractive. Fits in your pocket. Anti-shake! Affordable. Disadvantages: Appears to struggle sometimes with focussing indoors when light is not perfect.
This is my fourth digital camera, and by far the best. It was not only very affordable, but the features I got for my money is a far cry from what I got in the past.
I was originally attracted to this camera for its stylish good looks. It came in different colours and was slim enough to slip into my pocket. I confess to being a bit of a snap happy fool, and my mobile phone just doesn't live up to my photographic expectations.
Along came my EXILIM ... ...would have to be the !!!!ANTI-SHAKE!!!! feature. Add to that the six megapixel, three times optical zoom lens.....and those amazing good looks and I was sold.
It is so simple and self explanitary to use (easier than my mobile phone).
As the pixels are higher in this camera than my previous cameras, I am very pleased with the pictures I obtain. The clarity and detail is quite good both in light and dark areas. I have noticed however the camera appears ...

Advantages: slim, light, zoom, high resolution, video, large LCD screen, value for money Disadvantages: small on/off key, no full paper instruction manual (environmentally friendly though)
I bought this camera from Amazon.co.uk. For its price, it comes with more features than its peers. A 6 megapixels camera with extra large LCD and optical zoom.
This thin and light camera is a perfect point-and-shoot camera. Easy to use. It comes with a mode called 'BEST SHOT', which gives you specific focus type, aperture levels etc for different types of objects you shoot. For example, when taking a close up of a flower, you can just choose FLOWER ... ...give you the optimal settings for shooting flowers. For someone, like me, who doesn't really understand what white balance is, this is perfect. Furthermore, it comes with a mode of BACKLIGHT (also under BEST SHOT mode) which let you shoot pictures with the sun in the background. I have tried it, and it really works. Normally, you end up having a photo with a dark silhouette, but this is different.
Secondly, an anti-shake mode means action shots ...

This camera is a perfect way into photography. Simple to use with a large screen to preview pictures and simple menu's. Fantasic buy at a very competeive price. Also very durable, I have dropped mine on more than one occasion with no effect on the camera itself!

Advantages: Large LCD screen, 6 megapixels, anti-shake feature Disadvantages: Complex 'best shot' menu/settings, Photo Loader not Mac-compatible
Bought this from Boots recently. First impressions are very good - we were looking for some pretty fundamental things in our first digi camera:
Large, easy to see screen
Ease of use (i.e. good auto features and lots of them)
Enough resolution for large (A4 and bigger) prints
We spoke to the Boots photo consultant and after comparing 3 possibles (Nikon, Samsung and this one) for under £200 we plumped for this.
So far, so good. The battery is ... ...that uses AA batteries as they won't last you five minutes before being drained apparently. The initial charge from flat for this camera was just 90mins to get it up and running and then you can get over 100 shots on a full charge (depending on how much you use the flash, etc.) according to the blurb - although we haven't taken that many yet.
The 'disadvantage' mentioned above of the complex BS setting is not really a complaint as for digital camera ...

Advantages: Great design and functionalities Disadvantages: almost none
The camera has many practical and useful features:
- slim and solid design (it easily fits in any pocket)
- big screen and very intuitive interface
- can shoot photos and movies
- Best Shot technology. I found it very useful using one of the preset settings (like outdoor portrait, landscape, night party, etc), however, it also allows to manually change any setting (white balance, exposure, etc.) and create your own Best shot set up, to be reused ... ...shooting: you can shoot many photos one after another
- the only bad side of the equipment is that it has the battery/memory card accessible from the same opening, which is quite sensitive and opens unless you are careful. This is not a big issue.
I travel a lot and Exilim is always with me! ...
