Advantages: Small, light, includes dock, good picture quality, ease of use, 2 inch LCD screen Disadvantages: Small inbuilt memory, no case provided
...and i came across the Casio Exilim Z4 and because of the looks, features and the good reviews i decided to buy it. When i got it, it didnt disapoint me because the size was small and compact and also it was very easy to use, considering it was my first digital camara. Althought the 10MB built in memory does look a bit low, you can add extra SD cards so it wasnt a problem. I got this camara for around £254, and i think it was worth every penny as ... ...design is also very stylish and you would find a 2 inch LCD screen which mays viewing a lot more easier and the buttons are easy to press and basically well layed out. I was impressed with the start up time as it was very quick.

The casio has stormed onto the market showing off its 4million pixels and 3 times optical zoom whilst maintaining a small shell!
4 million pixels? well each picture is broken down by little dots and stored digitally, these are called pixels, if there isnt enough pixels to fill the picture gaps form between the pixels causing a lack in detail(fuzzyness), so the benefit of 4 is you can have a larger picture!
3x optical zoom? well there is two types ... ...the charging is different the casio is docking stationed and the konica is just plug streight into the camera. how long do the batterys last? how longs a piece of string quite a while if they are used frequently over 300 pictures but not you could get a few weeks out of one!
either camera is a good choice! ...

This little camrea by Casio is outstanding. My favorite part is the Massive 2" LCD screen, and how nicely it is built into the design, leaving just enough room for hte controls. the sound effects are pretty cute, allowing the user to set different ones for when the camra starts up, focuses (at half-shutter) and takes the picture. the half-shutter sound has become very useful to me (i have it set as a frog, ribbiting) because it gets my subjects to ... ...the picture, however, not expecting it to be a picture (such as when one says "cheese"), and therefore nto having plastic smiles platered on their faces. The zoom function while viewing pictures is very useful, and especiually nice noin the large LCD. i keep have the problem that it zooms into peoples' chests (which makes sense, because they are usually in the center of the picture). so that is one reccomendation. when taking pictures of women, and ...

Advantages: Small (like your credit card), lightweight, battery power savings, 3x optical zoom, 4 mega pixels, auto settings for different modes of capture, easy to use for beginners Disadvantages: medium to high price
The Casio Exilim Z4 is the latest of its range... Perfect for beginners and not to mention those who want to look fashionable. It doesn't require lengthy reading of the manual before you figure out its basic functions.
It is the slimmest camera with a 3x optical zoom. Just about the size of your credit card. That would mean it is also lightweight... The body is made of a metal alloy which is durable. It has withstood some shocks from dropping.
... ...a new technological breakthrough by Casio.
It is very user-friendly. If you have basic understanding of how menus work on a PC / Web TV, then you are most able to handle this camera's functions. There are 21 auto settings for different scenes (night, bad weather etc) for the average user... At least you do not have to fiddle much with the settings and lose a good shot opportunity.
THe LCD screen is 2" and there is very little lag in snapping the ...

Ok, I got one of these a Christmas present this year (2004), and from the start I loved it.
The best thing about it is that the renge of feature, the white balance, the zoom feature.
Before I continue, a pure digital camera (not optical zoom), is ok but then I preffer to have the ability to have the optical zoom.
From the box, Zoom optique 3X, is excellent, even when you go into the digital zoom with 4X.
The flash, is sometimes abit anoying, ... ...camera things it does.
The software it comes with (Photo Loader 2.1 and Photohands 1.0). Not the best, the then the best thing is that you don't need to the software, simply plus the camera into it's cradle, plug into the UBS port, and you can copy the images off it, as it sees it as a removable unit (which it is).
Sadley its only USb 1.0, why not be 2.0, it's new enough to be able to use it.
The display on the screen is excellent, as it shows ...

Manufacturer's product description
EXILIM EX-Z4 is the latest addition to Casio's award winning EXILIM ZOOM. The EXILIM EX-Z4 has a resolution of 4.0 million effective pixels and is packed with features to enable users to take fantastic pictures whatever the occasion. A combination of outstanding design, portability and high performance has put EXILIM ZOOM at the forefront of the market trend for compact, stylish and thinner digital cameras. Cutting edge technological developments such as Casio's stack MCM chip mounting technique and the 3 segment telescopic zoom mechanism have enabled the EX-Z4 to retain the distinctive EXILIM 'credit card size' height and width. The new EX-Z4 is a mere 23.1mm at its widest point and only 19.7mm at its thinnest. The well-loved ability to integrate short movies with sound has now been enhanced by allowing recordings of up to 60 seconds, and a new built-in speaker allows for audio playback. New features such as still image with audio and voice recording capabilities have also been added, and an improved lower power design has extended the battery life of the EX-Z4, allowing longer continuous recordings. An extra-large 2.0" TFT LCD, which features Casio's unique digital interface, can be used both as a viewfinder for composing images, as well as a portable album for viewing images instantly. The EX-Z4 also features Casio's quick response technology that has become a feature of all its digital cameras. Casio's technology not only enables the camera to power up and be available to shoot in just over a second, but also a shutter release time lag of 0.01 second, resulting in almost instantaneous image capture after pressing the shutter release button.

I am very impressed by the Casio Exilim, particularly with regards to the battery life. It is much better than using regular batteries that don't last long at all, and it charges quickly anyway.
The quality of the pictures is also excellent, and there more
