I got the Exilim Z700 at christmas, and I absolutely love it. I was only used to an APS camera before hand, but this camera is so simple to use.

From what I know, this camera costs about £150+. This maybe reasonable to some or expensive to others, so this price can be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on how you see it.

This camera has quite a lot of features including zoom, flash settings, Best Shot, Video, Voice Recording and a very sleek look.

Depending on your light settings or the situation you're in, you can use the Best Shot option to get the most out of your picture. Some of these best shot settings include ones for sunsets, candlelit rooms, night scenes, fireworks, text, backlight and many more. You can also choose to take a picture in Monochrome, which makes it a black and white picture, or Retro, which makes it a brown faded picture.

Other settings include the quality settings, where you can choose from Economy, Normal and Fine for videos and pictures. Obviously, the lower quality the picture, the more space you have. Pictures and videos upload onto the computer very easily, and the videos play on most movie players. On my laptop it plays on Windows Media Player.

When you take the picture, it comes out very clear. And even if its pitch black, but you know where something is, the camera's flash will take the picture as if it were broad daylight. (I have tested this feature on my cat who was at the bottom of my bed one night!)

On a standard setting, I believe this camera can take 460 pictures. I've already used some of my memory, but my camera will still let me take 36 hours of voice recordings and probably half an hour of film, before I'd need to upload it onto my laptop.

The battery lasts quite a long time as well. I've done quite a lot of filming and recording with it as well as lots of picture taking and it's only used up 1/3 of the battery power. I've not charged it yet since christmas.

The camera comes in a good solid box along with an instruction manual, docking station and plug. As the disadvantage says though, it doesn't come with a memory card, and it doesn't come with a carry case either, so you'll have to buy both of those. But the case won't cost much, and I wouldn't think the memory card would cost too much either, depending on what size you're getting.

To give you an idea of size, its about a wide and tall as a credit card, and less than an inch thick, so its pretty small. It'd fit in your pocket really easy on a night out or whilst you're travelling.

I would highly recommend this camera to anyone wanting one. Its so handy for taking on holiday, or just out anywhere. It's simple to use, so anyone who's not really into technology could use it well.
