This is a very good little camera.
we have purchased ours for around £130 and have been very hapy with it. It has so many good points it is hard to list them all.
the main quality of the camera is the very large screen, which really comes great when you are taking pictures or to watch them afterwards. We found the quality of the display very good and now we would find it difficult to revert to a smaller screen. It is very easy not to have any info displayed on the screen at the touch of a button
another fantastic advantage of the product is its size: at 19mm thick, it is easy to carry in your pocket, it is very light as well.
the battery is very long lasting: on our first charge we took over 250 very large photos- which require more energy to take, save and store- before being on the last bar of the indicator.
It is so simple to use as well: no dial to turn to view or shoot: you just click on one of the top two button, clearly represented with a different colour: green play button to view, red camera to shoot. as you look down the back of the camera 2 more buttons: menu and BS (best shot, see below), and in the bottom corner across with a center set button.
This button set up makes it very simple to use. if you want to take apicture just click on the green button and shoot. the zom is conveniently situated at the top of the camera. There are 37 shooting mode available through the BS picture menu, each of them simply explained and available by using the arrows on the cross. I have found this function invaluable when taking pictures as for the first time I was able to understand what the different mode where and how they would enhace my photography.
It is possible to record short films, unfortunately, no more than 10 minutes regardless of the size of your card. this is for me the only drawback to the camera.
the zoom is quite good, but I would have prefered to have an optical x4. for that kind of money, you cannot ask the moon!
The camera comes with a craddle. the craddle is used to charge and connect the camera to the computer. therefore there is only one electronic connector at the bottom of the camera. personally we just leave the craddle connected to both the mains and the computer permanently, so that if we want to charge it or transfer pictures to the PC, we do not waste any time in finding the cable.
Another advantage is that it uses SD memor card and that they are widely available and not too expensive. as our previous camera used SD MC, it was nice not to have to spend extra on the memory card.
I strongly recommend this camera: it is for me the best money can bu at that price and has features that only more expensive camera have.
