This indeed is an excellent calculator for students studying at GCSE, A-level and even at University level. I have had this calculator for about 2 years now and I have used it for subjects like Math, Physics, Chemistry and Computing.
The functions available are Standard Deviation, Trig, Regressions and modes like Radians and degrees.
The Price for this calculator is about £8-12 and is an excellent buy for students, business people or people like accountants.
The battery will last about 3 years but on one of my older caluclators the battery lasted twice that but it really depends on the amount of time you use it.
Calculator comes with hard cover lid to protect the screen, manual which is very detailed and name labels so you don't lose it!

I'm assuming it's a Scientific Calculator but not sure. I've had an Casio FX82SX for years. It's scary to look at with all those buttons and functions...I stick to the basics and the few things I need though. Rarely have to change mode and now, as I don't do maths anymore, haven't used it much but the battery's still going strong after like 6 years!
Advantages: Long lasting, This definatley not a piece of equiptment that breaks after a few uses. Disadvantages: calculator display can sometimes be unclear although this is only when held in direct sunlight.
