...more accurate reading, in fact Casio recommend that you take the watch off and allow it to stand on its own for several minutes to get that reading, the compass works on Magnetic north so if you are trying to work it around equipment that work on magnetic fields like speakers and TV's etc...then you would not have a realistic reading !!...bearing these facts in mind it is still a fascinating gadget.

When I first saw this watch, being gadget man I thought ..... wow I have to have this little feller !!, as an aviation enthusiast and a frequent flyer, the built in digital altimeter was a must, coupled to the barometer and temp gauge ( all digital). it even indicates weather trends so you can see in advance if the weather is deteriorating.

Apart from the 5 seperate alarms, hourly chimes, automatic calander until 2039, large ditigal readout, and the fact that you can go swimming or snorkelling with this watch down to 300 feet ( if you can go that deep !!) its a great looker, and conversation piece.

If you like camping and weekend outdoor sports then having your own personal navigator on your wrist,
Simply press a button and a display indicator gitially tells you the direction, displays current barometric pressure, temperature or altitude in feet or metres, or displays a graphical form of recent changes in the sensor readings.

Theres an Auto Light feature which turns on the backlight when the wrist is tilted beyond 40° for easy hands-free reading in the dark.

It's a multi-functional environmental information tool that helps you keep informed whenever you take on the outside forces of nature.

Therefore, Its very much a serious watch for the serious outdoors enthusiast, easy, one-touch controls provide essential information from a combination digital compass,altimeter/barometer and thermometer. Digital compass displays a continuous directional.

This is a gadget to end all gadgets for all you gadget freaks out there, just like me..I bought mine in July and have just about road tested it, now I wonder how I ever managed without it ..!!!

The altimeter is very much affected by the barometric pressure, so it is variable and must not be relied upon for any precise accuracy by any aviators out there, or in fact anyone who depends upon absolute altitude accuracy, it is merely an indication of altitude, this also would apply to the temperature guage, I subtract about 15 - 20 degrees F from the actual reading to get a more accurate reading, in fact Casio recommend that you take the watch off and allow it to stand on its own for several minutes to get that reading, the compass works on Magnetic north so if you are trying to work it around equipment that work on magnetic fields like speakers and TV's etc...then you would not have a realistic reading !!...bearing these facts in mind it is still a fascinating gadget.
