I got this camera about a year and a half ago, and it hasn't decreased in price since then.
On the outside, it's a very smart-looking piece of equipment - I loved the fact that felt heavy and robust - the shell is completely made from metal, whereas many other digital cameras I saw felt plasticy and tacky. It's also a very good size - small enough by far to slip into a coat pocket or handbag.

The zoom lens is adequate for most pictures at 3x optical, 3x digital; but it is insufficient for longer shots. With this camera, you are able to manually set it up to take more professional artsy shots, but since I'm not a serious photographer (and don't have a clue) I've never really played around with this much.

All the normal features are present on the QVR-3, including self-timer, movie recording (no sound), clock/calendar and LCD screen.

There is an internal memory of 11MB, and a slot for SD/ cards.

The battery is a very small, thin lithium ion battery (charger included), which I like because it adds very litle extra weight to the camera.

Another redeeming feature of this camera is the "best shot" function (abbreviated as "BS"), which allows complete novices like to use ready-programmed selections tailored to the shot they are about to take. I've had lots of success with this - I visited a butterfly palce a while ago, and used the "close up floral" selection to take pictures of the butterflies there, and it worked really well. Almost all of my pictures have come out beautifully, with a good, sharp image quality.

All in all, I think this is an excellent little camera, if a little expensive for a 3 megapixel one. The only thing I would change is the zoom (a bit more optical zoom would be great).

I have also found it quite hard to find a suitable case for it and am currently using the little felt bag from my minidisc player to protect it.

Good review - could do with a price/where to get it though. I've got the 4 mega pixel version of this, and love it to bits - hate the lack of case though!
