With grey back , silver front and dark metalic silver screen surround , this machine looks the business . On the left hand side you find the on/off switch , built-in ariel , AV in socket and 6v DC input socket . On top you find a standard 3.5mm headphone socket and beside it the built in speaker . To the right you have volume and brightness controls. On the reverse you find a built in stand . On the front you have the screen , tuning control , a a slide on/off battery compartment that sweep to the reverse .

* In Use *
Insert 4 * AA batteries , extend the built-in aerial , switch on and the screen flickers into action . Press the auto-tune button ( up and down options ) , and a tuning bar appears that is aligned to the UHF frequency bar that is printed just below the screen . This then moves along until a station is found . If this is not the required station then continue with the tuning cycle . In poor reception area's the picture can revert to black and white , but in most cases , the picture is sharp and easy to view , and volume is acceptable if a little tinny , although much improved with the use of headphones. The batteries will last inexcess of eight hours in continual use , but I recommend the use of rechargables .
* Accessories *
Available ( but not looked into ) are the following :
1) A/C Adaptor ( Part No. AD-K65) 2) Car Adaptor ( Part No. CA-K65) 3) Audio.Video Cable ( Part No. AV-C1) - allows connecting of a video to the TV , but why would you ?
* Final Thoughts *
Going against previous ops, eg 'Big Is Beautiful' , this item it has to be said , is small , drop dead georgous , extremely versatile and bloody useful . Uses could include pacifiying kids on a car journey , checking footie results while at a match etc. etc. Well worth the money .
Advantages: Size, very handy Disadvantages: Uses far too many batteries, size, sort of
...in tracking down an official Casio mains lead, and to be honest I don't really trust any of the other brands. It can also take a while to find the TV channels, as you have to scan for them. Another problem that especially applies to all you football fans out there is that when writing appears on the screen (subtitles, news headlines etc.) it is often too small to read, and just becomes a blur. In the context of football, it is almost impossible to ... ...the top left hand corner of the screen. It can be a bit annoying. -------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion: However, I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say that the problems I have outlined are fairly minor and almost trivial (especially for those of you who don't like football!), and I think I can safely say that with this TV, the positives outweigh the negatives. It is small, handy, convenient and above ...

Advantages: Screen size not bad, not too heavy, good volume control, v clear picture when there's good signal Disadvantages: Eats batteries pretty quick, you need to use in a location with good reception
It's a minature television, in the end, what do you want? It isn't going to be comparable to a full size one. Saying that, I was expecting slightly better reception than I have. Maybe it's the places I've used it, but generally it's a snowy picture with crackling sound, and as you scan from one channel to the next, you have to move the ariel about to find the new channel. A couple of times though, when I have been somewhere with decent reception, ... ...live in a place where freeview boxes rarely work, let alone pocket televisions, so it's doing pretty well.
The sound is a bit echoey, but you can comfortably listen to it. Controlled by a little wheel on the side (next to another to control the brightness), it goes up more than loud enough for an individual or a group of people to be able to hear perfectly.
I've had mine about 6 years. It still works the same as when I bought it with no problems, ...

Advantages: Great reception Disadvantages: Slightly complicated to set up
The recpetion on this is top quality. Mine even reaches some local channels from a few miles away!
But apart from that; the picture quality is fairly good, which includes colour. It will also tune very well; you do not have to manually tune it which is a huge advantage. The battery is also fairly good; what one would expect. For around 2.5 inches, this really is a good buy. It all fits in well on the small screen, and it provides great entertainment ... ...couple of drawbacks for me; there is a small antenna on the side/top of it and this can be quite irritating and gets in the way occasionally. The other drawback is that the speaker is not of the greatest quality, and vibrates a little. But for close viewing it is very good.
In my opinion this is a good buy for just around 50 pounds. ...

Advantages: Good quality for money Disadvantages: In areas of good reception it may not find a signal
I bought my TV970 from a respectable internet sales website for £75. For that price I was not expecting anything fantastic, just something I could use in the car or if I was going out somewhere where I was going to be bored. I was however, very surprised and happy with the results. For the money you get a light-weight, well built unit with all the usual accessories. It features a 2.3 inch viewable screen, it also has an in-built stand, extendable ... ...is easy, but it does take a very large amount of batteries, but from my experience they last for ages. I havn't changed them since i bought it and I've used it a lot! The screen size is ok to watch, it's not a strain, but after prolonged viewing, I can see it would become so. The mains lead has a good length and it measn that you can use it comfortably from a chair or bed and still have plenty of free movement. It's fairly compact, and as I said ...

Advantages: Light, Small, Reasonably Cheap Disadvantages: Uses Lots of Battery Power
This is a great product to get on ebay, secondhand. The are durable, the screensize is fine for watching movies but the essential here is rechargeable batteries. You will double the cost of actual TV in battery fees within a month. Althogh it does have a 6volt DC jack the whole point is that it should be portable. Another essential for the device is headphones, they have to great purposes:
- You dont annoy other people
- Save LOTS of battery

Advantages: Portable, durable and nice design Disadvantages: In-built speakers drain battery power
Well, how can I describe this mini TV in one word? Brilliant. I went to get my post one morning and found a package on the floor. I'd won this little beauty. I've had it now for around 4 months and love it.
The 2.3" LCD screen is very clear and the colours are very vivid, even on a less that great signal. It provides a sleek design of silver and wavy lines with clear labels for all 5 buttons and notches.
The stand at the back comes out and allows it to sit on your desk at just the right angle without slipping. I've left it on my desk before and it's a nice little addition when the power cuts out and your other TVs don't work.
The in-built speaker is very powerful and can become quite loud, which is excellent except for the fact that it seems to drain the batteries pretty quickly. This can be averted by plugging in some ...
Lazy days and relaxing evenings don't always have to be spent indoors. Enjoy your favorite programs in a hammock, on a porch swing or anyplace that brings you comfort. The crystal clear picture delivered by the TV-970 brings you all the advantages of sitting indoors.
