Whilst on holiday in Tenerife this summer 2007, our tour representative did a reasonable job on her sales pitch by convincing me to book another of her excursions. Not only had I just booked a Catamaran cruise for an afternoon but I had now also paid my euros to spend an evening at the CastilloSan Miguel for a Medieval Evening. I did not visit during the day so cannot comment on what is available at this time.
If you are ever holidaying on the island of Tenerife, then please read on before you commit yourself to a very different evening's entertainment.

This was our third trip to Puerto Rico and the first time we had stayed on the hillside.
We stayed during the middle of October 2006
The Castillode Sol Apartments are very clean.We stayed in a one bedroomed apartment. The bedroom was a good size with two good sized wardrobes and a dressing table with a nice large mirror. As always, it was a twin bedded room so we just slid the beds together.
Our daughter slept on the sofa bed in the lounge area (bedding was left for us).
There was a hand towel and a bath towel for each of us which were changed every other day. bedding was changed once during the week we stayed. The maids cleaned 5-6 days per week.
The rooms are basic but more than adequate for our needs (somewhere to get changed and to sleep at night!) We did have a TV in the room which took Euro coins and even the smaller 10 ...
Advantages: A superb all round full flavoured easy drinking red Disadvantages: Slips down a treat; why have one bottle when you could make do with two?

THE VINTNER
Bodegas Navajas is a family owned business based in Navarette, a village on the N120 in the Rioja Alta not far from the town of Logroňo.
THE LABEL
The wine is housed in a dark green bottle. It is closed with a cork and sealed with a black "lead" capsule. The main label is white with gold lettering. It is an illustration of its village of origin in grey tones. The label includes the words ?Denominacion de origin Calificada? (DOCa) which is Spain's most prestigious wine distinction. The rear label has a Rioja authenticity mark, a hologram and a reference number.
The vintage under scrutiny is 1999. It has an alcohol content of 13% by volume. I have also tasted samples from 1997 and 1998.
