*NOTE - I AM REVIEWING THE SEMI-PERMANENT VERSION OF THIS COLORANT*
*I USED THE CHOCOLATE BROWN COLOUR*
SMELL: I wasn't too keen on the smell of this colorant, and so the 20 minutes that it was on were spent in the garden breathing in some nice fresh air! Ok for then, but not if its raining! Also, the glossy conditioner that was to be used afterwards didn't smell too great, and left a distinctive 'I've just dyed my hair' smell to my hair!
PRICE: This hair dye was rather on the expensive side compared to other semi-permanent hair dyes. It costs £5.74 in Boots, and similar, I believe in Superdrug. To me, this is too much!
EASE OF APPLICATION: This colorant is applied to wet hair, and while this makes it easier to spread, it makes it hard at times to see where you have applied the lotion and where you haven't,s it can be tricky to ensure an even coverage.
THE IMPORTANT PART - THE COLOUR As said at the beginning, I bought the 'chocolate brown' version of this colorant, and I can honestly say, my hair was nothing like chocolate brown when I dried it! I had my reservations from the start, as when the dye was on my hair, and I looked in a mirror, it looked as if it had a reddish tint. I left the dye on for the required time, washed it off, and as expected, the colour ran red as the excess washed off. I then applied the conditioner, left it for 2 minutes, and rinsed my hair thoroughly. Drying my hair, I could tell my hair would not be chocolate brown. When fully dried, my hair was dark brown, but with a clear red shimmer throughout. If I am honest, I really liked the colour, but that is not the point. It was at least three shades out from what I had expected, not to mention the red shimmer! I have since washed my hair three times, and the red shimmer had gone. My hair is still not to a 'chocolate brown' colour, and is still dark brown, but hey, it was an experiment, and I am just pleased that it was a semi-permanent, so I can go with the flow. I would be very wary about using a permanent colour in this range though!
EFFECTS: The colorant was supposed to give a 'glossy' look to your hair, hence the name. It did just this, and my hair, after three washes is still nice and shiny!
USE AGAIN? I will possibly use the semi-permanent version of this colorant again, but only when I wasn't too bothered about exactly how the colour came out. The smell, however, is something that would possibly put me off of using this again, and so I may end up looking elsewhere.
RECOMMEND? I would not recommend this product to most people, as generally, when you choose a hair dye, you want your hair to be the colour on the box; thats why you chose it, you like that colour! This dye will not dye your hair the colour you expected, so unless you fancy a change, and aren't too bothered about the specific colour you want to go, then I would look at other brands for a suitable semi-permanent hair dye.

Advantages: Conditioner leaves hair very soft and shiny. Good for lighter/thinner coloured hair. Smells nice Disadvantages: doesnt deposit colour as a block-good if you want to have subtle highlights
Advantages: Fanastic colour, nice smell, good softening conditioner which comes with it, non-drip formula Disadvantages: The dye gets everywhere especially on clothes
Advantages: none Disadvantages: too many to mention
