Castrol chain cleaner aerosol I have two bikes and I always use a good chain cleaner and my preferred one is Castrol chain cleaner in the 400ml size aerosol can. I pay £6.99 for this and it lasts me a reasonable length of time. It’s what I consider to be a really good brand of chain cleaner, it’s reliable and very efficient and also it’s suitable for chains either with or without O or X rings. It’s relatively simple to apply. I simply make sure I have shaken the can very vigorously, to thoroughly disperse the contents, and I apply to the chain pretty generously.
