Advantages:	It has a nice filler cap which avoids spills when filling up your bike with oil .
Disadvantages:	Can ` t compete wih Shell ` s cheaper alternatives .  My sylinder was scored thanks to this oil

This Oil has in general a very good reputation amongst most two stroke owners...

Well, I went in the trap... I bought one liter of it for 18GPB, as a replacement to the oil I could not get hold of.... (Shell Ultra 2 / Shell Racing X)

I am riding a highly tuned Aprilia RS125 and I was riding on the highway in Norway on Shell V-Power 99 with 3% Shell Ultra 2 fully synthetic mixed in the tank. I ran out of gas so I flipped the reserve tank switch and got to the nearest gas station to fill 98 gas and i mixed it with the Castroll TTS straight in the tank 3%... The engine lasted for 5-10 miles before the engine had a breakdown... Do I need to say more? The engine had only run 50 miles since it had a complete overhaul.

I immediatly changed the plug and it was caramel brown.

The funny thing about it is... I had been riding in heavy rain all day with the Shell ultra 2 and I was afraid the engine was running lean with the compressorized air caused by the weather... But to my surprize it stopped raining and I went out of gas so I filled 98 octane and blended it with 3% Castrol TTS so the engine should run much richer than when it was raining so I am allmost positive that the reason to why my engine broke down was caused by this low quality oil.

I have been told later by a Ducati dealer (this man owns 6 KTM 2 strokes) that the Castrol TTS is bad stuff, and he only runs his bikes on Shell Racing X in worst case scenario the Ultra 2 which he told me he never had any problems with.

And I have been told by another guy whose big brother has been riding for KTM`s MX factory team that the Castrol TTS sux.

If you are going to use Castrol on your Two stroke engine you MUST use Castrol A747 which is compareable to the Shell Racing X. But way more expensive over here.

I myself will only run my bike on Shell Oils from now on... Preferably the Racing X but I would use the Shell Uttra 2 fully synthetic as an alternative if I can`t get hold of the Racing X.
