identichipping is the way forward!

Advantages: quick, not expensive and so effective!
Disadvantages: can hurt a little when administered, especially very small animals

...cats indentichipped. As all you cat owners will know, they do have a tendency to wonder and can go missing for days sometimes weeks. So . . what is an identichip? An identichip is a small chip that is placed with a needle under the skin and should sit inbetween the shoulder blades. The pupose of the chip is to identify the animal and return it to it's owner if it ever wnet missing, therefore if your cat went missing and was taken to a vets or somewhere ...
...cat and trace it back to you. There are two types of chips, the first is your standard chip that just reads the number that would trace him to you, the second is a standard chip but also conatins a thermometer which reads the cats temperature the same time therefore you wouldnt need to use a rectal thermometer! ( this one is extremely useful in cats as you could imaging they hate rectal thermometers! The standard chip is usually around £10-15 and ...

Here kitty kitty kitty....

Advantages: Many different ways
Disadvantages: Many go very quickly

...from a good home, or where in desperate need of a good home. Unfortunately I could never get my parents to let me have another pet, as they 'did not want the hassle/responsibility'. Once I moved out of my parents house I could not afford to get a largerpet and as I was only living in a flat I was concerned that one would not have enough room, therefore I ended up getting a pet rat (but if you want to know about my pet rat, or the cats which I have ...
...I the above period, I was still regularly given the opportunity to get other cats, but regretably had to turn them down. Finally I moved out of my flat and into a 2 bedroomed terrace with my boyfriend. I had been living there for over a year and desperately wanted a new pet (My rats had died before I moved in and he was scared of them, and so I wasn't allowed to get any more). As my birthday approached I managed to pesuade him into letting me get ...

Review of Where to get your cat from

Only unemployed with no kids wellcome

Advantages: It has a lot of animals to take home
Disadvantages: In 6 months we never found an animal which was suitable

...choice was to go to Battersea to rescue a pet, rather than to get one from a back-yard-breeder. We started looking in November. I asked for an elderly cat, as I am at work most of the day and I like calm, quiet cats. I wanted a cat which was at least 10 years old. My friend wanted a young-ish dog, but no puppy. Sounds fairly straightforward ? No, it wasn't. I have 2 sliding patio doors made from glass and live in rented accomodation, so I cannot ...
...We both went back to Battersea about 10 times over 6 months. I had given up on the cats, but we never found a dog there. I ended up buying 2 kittens ( no calm cat for me then...) from a back-yard breeder, and they are both very happy with manual access to the garden. She ended up buying a pedigree from a more reputable breeder, and he is fine with the kids. We really tried to give rescue a chance, but obviously it wasn't for us. I did have a look ...

Marchioro Clipper Tonga

Advantages: Top and end openings
Disadvantages: Top opening is a bit fiddly

This is the best cat carrier I've ever had!. I show my Cats so I opted for the larger carrier Tonga 3 ( fits two comfortably), but it is avaliable in three sizes. Tonga 1 50cmx33cmx32cm £17.99 Tonga 2 57cmx37cmx36cm £ 22.99 Tonga 3 64cmx43cmx43cm £27.99 My main criteria was wheels and easy access. This box has a very easily opened large front door which enables a 'two hand' removal. The catch is very easy to use. It is a bar which you push both ...
...and the bottom of the door. It both feels and looks secure. The top opening is almost the entire surface of the top which gives great access also. It is clear so it is good to be able to look in to check on the occupants. There is also a little storage compartment in the lid ( about 6x4x2 inches) which is ideal for storing the optional strap. there is also a identification plate which comes with 6 inserts for you to fill in your details. The one ...

Review of Members Advice on Cat Carriers

How to speak cat:- well, not quite but its helpful

Advantages: Loving, caring, cute, sweet, the list goes on...
Disadvantages: birds, mice, FROGS (don't ask), vets bills...

...something that, when you are looking for a pet you will never do. A cat will choose it's owner, not the other way around, so if you are looking for one and it comes right up to you, and seems to love you it is probably the right one for you. Before choosing a cat it is best to know at least a little about the cat you want to take (orthat wants you to take it) to make sure it is going to suit your personality, eg)if you are looking for something to ...
...and energetic is probably not right for you. CHOOSING A NAME... Always choose a name that suits your cat, and one you think is appropriate. Also, try to be original, I hate people who get a black and white cat and call it felix, be creative! If a cat is ginger, why call it ginger like every other ginger cat out there?! All i'm saying is be creative and make the name fitting. FINDING THEIR WAY AROUND... When you get a cat, or move house with a ...
