I do like to look after my hair, and I do believe that a good quality salon shampoo and conditioner really do help to keep my hair healthy and shiny. I am a big fan of Tigi's Brunette Goddess Shampoo, and use it on a regular basis but I do have a few others I like to try every now and again. However, when I spotted this new shampoo in TJ Hughes on a shopping trip, the smell and price both made me want to grab a bottle and take it home so I did! I used it the next day and as with most of the Tigi shampoos I've used, I wasn't left disappointed!

They do all sorts of hair care and styling products which look after your hair and leave it smelling absolutely divine too. Tigi have 3 main haircare ranges; BedHead, Catwalk and S-Factor, all of which cater for different hair types and requirements, so there should be something to suit everyone. Although Tigi products are more expensive than other high street brands, you don't need much for great results so a big bottle of this lasts much longer than a cheaper alternative.

This shampoo is called Headshot Heavenly Hydrating Shampoo and is part of the Catwalk range sold by Tigi. It comes in a mirror-shiny pink bottle with the Catwalk logo and product name on the front in a contrasting blue so it's a pretty striking look product. It comes in a bottom-down tube which they usually reserve for their conditioners, but I like this as it sits nicely on the edge of the bath and the product is ready to come straight out of the tube without too much effort being needed. The usage instructions are on the back, along with what to expect from the shampoo but it's all pretty self-explanatory so not something I need to get into here really!

The first thing that struck me about this, and what really prompted me to buy it in the end, was the absolutely divine smell. It smells just like sweets, but for the life of me I can't put my finger on exactly which one. It is incredibly sweet, perhaps sickly if you sniff it for too long but I just love it. The more you lather it up, the stronger the smell gets and I loved how my bathroom smelt afterwards, yum! As with all Tigi shampoos, you don't have to use much at all to get a really good lather going so use it sparingly because otherwise it'll just be wasted. That's what I like about these more expensive shampoos - yes they cost more in the initial outlay but they last a lot longer because you don't need much for them to really work well and therefore it's much more cost efficient!

Rinsing the shampoo out is nice and easy too, it comes out without too much fuss at all and my hair always feels squeaky clean which is great. When I towel dry it, I can still smell the sweetness in the towel and on my hair so the scents in these shampoos really do have a good staying power. After my hair was dry, it really did feel hydrated like the name of the product suggested, and it was lovely and soft and shiny too. I did leave the shampoo on for a few minutes before rinsing and I could feel that afterwards that was the right thing because it really did feel like it had been given a good drink. The nice look lasted all day and even when I brushed my hair in the evening, it still felt freshly washed and moisturised, so I was really pleased with it.

According to the website, the shampoo contains rose hips and ginseng extract which help promote shine and moisture in your hair, and also wheat proteins and amino acids to strengthen and protect your hair. In my opinion, it's a great shampoo and one worth investing in if you're looking for a high quality and decent shampoo. I haven't yet used it with the conditioner so I can't comment on that, but if it's as good as the shampoo then it might be worth trying that too. It really does do what it claims - it cleans, moisturises and make your hair Catwalk perfect! The smell is just divine, very sweet but I can imagine it'd be fine for either women or men to use, nothing wrong with smelling nice after all! It comes highly recommended from me!

I paid £6 for my 200ml tube in TJ Hughes, and I have seen it online for around the same price from Ebay and www.beautycounterdirect.co.uk so if you're interested you can pick it up for a good price.
