Advantages: Raw, simplicity. Simple is always the best. Cheap. Disadvantages: None
...The wireless desktop is just about the most used item on a computer. Without one I couldn't type this review.
The Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop1000 is a very good example of simplicity. No complicated buttons on the keyboard, a mouse without a mass of buttons where every button goes. Just the simple, basics.
The combination works very well, the keyboard is nice to use. Very easy to use for a long period of time too. The mouse is no different, very responsive and easy to use. Just a left click, right click and a scroll ball. Nothing more, nothing less. Isn't it just genious?
The mouse is very good on batteries and you won't find yourself having to by a million batteries all the time.
The set is very asthetically pleasing in black, it won't stand out in your home or workplace.
This combination is a very cost efficient desktop...

Advantages: Pop-out USB receiver can be stored in the mouse. Disadvantages: No built-in USB cable, and too big for traveler user
...Kensington is known for functional, but not exactly stylish. It is small enough to fit into a laptop case easily, but big enough to use with a desktop without fatiguing your hand. This mouse lacking built-in USB cable and there are better mice out there for both desktop and laptop use, and this hybrid represents a compromise on both fronts. Desktop users may be used to extra thumb buttons, but the Ci60 has just the basics--left and right buttons and a scroll wheel. i've found the standard 1,000-dpi sensors on Kensington's wireless mice to be precise and accurate, and didn't note any delayed reaction time--sometimes a factor for wireless mice. This mouse is okay for the home user. It use two AA battery for its power....

Advantages: neat, elegant, packs quite a punch Disadvantages: flimsy stand, too much wiring
...The first thing that struck me about the FPS-1000 surround speakers, was their size. They are very small, but quite heavy and really do hide quite a punch. The rear speakers are supplied with stands which are quite flimsy but do the job fine.
There's a handy volume control knob that can sit on your desktop to you don't have to reach down to the sub-woofer to alter the volume. Providing you have a good soundcard and you don't turn the speakers up too high, the sound quality will be very absorbing....
