Disadvantages: Inefficient, unreliable, extremly costly to repair and potentially very dangerous!!!!! AVOID

The red and green lights started flashing and a loud clicking noise was heard. Tried resetting with the reset button and then by switching the electricity supply to the boiler on and off. No joy. pottertons nightmare

Advantages: Advantages? I can't think of any! I suppose they work ok when they're new
Disadvantages: It's a condensing boiler,there is not a good condensing boiler boiler on the market and because of the way they work,there won't be one

...boiler design was bought by Potterton from Germany I'm led to believe and it's the worst thing the Germans have done to us since beating us on penalties! Whoever designed this had no thought for the engineers who would work on them or the poor consumer who got to know their service engineer very well. This is a terrible design,is always leaking and frequently failing.Condensing boilers will not last as long as a conventional non-condensing boiler. ...

When you think condensing boilers are meant to be good for the enviroment,they may give off less harmfull emisions but after 10-15 years you will have to replace it therefore you have a scrap boiler to dispose of and you have to use energy to make another! ...

Disadvantages: Trouble getting deposits back

On 9th October 2009 a Salesman came from Northern Gas and quoted us a price for a new boiler, and as we had been without heat and water for two weeks waiting for quotes, and as we are both in our seventies, he said he would try to arrange installation the following week. Deffo Not Recomended!!!!!!!!!!

Advantages: the boiler works fine
Disadvantages: Very bad workmanship

Earlier this year i had a boiler installed by northern gas heating. The salesman was very nice and he assured me that all the work carried out would be done to a very high standard. He admired my home and said that the workmen would treat everything with TLC Every day they arrived very late and only spent a few hours on the job ...so much so that they ended up rushing everything!!! ...damaging my home and the decor i was very disappointed with all ...
