Special K Sustain and Losing Weight
Review of Kellogg's Special K Sustain Cereal by ljmckeever1

Advantages: Tasty, cost effective and helps you lose weight!
Disadvantages: Does not stop snacking urges entirely!

So very often dieting fads are sent our way, Special K Sustain promises that you will make it through the morning without snacking, it also claims you can substitute breakfast and lunch with Special K Sustain as a meal and you can lose up to an inch. At first Special K Sustain does fend off your snacking 'urges'. For the first 3 days I was not tempted. Despite the following 11 days of my two week diet leaving me tempted, I didn't stray as I was not ...
...power, but isn't entirely unachievable. Unlike a lot of other cereals the texture remains good from start to finish, the taste is great and it isn't over packed with fibre or unnecessary sugars. The cost is reasonable, the taste is great and it did help me shift 4 pounds! Well worth a try! ... Read review

Review of Nestle Shreddies by Jordan2493

Advantages: Yummy
Disadvantages: Not a great tast until you add sugar

...from the widely ranged company Nestle , which is a part of the Post Cereals company... Shreddies can play a fairly large part in your 3 A Day whole grain. Shreddies are very good for keeping your energy up and keeping you healthy with another tasty breakfast cereal... The Taste Shreddies don't really have a very nice taste until you pour on the milk and maybe drop on a spoon of sugar. They mainly taste quite plain , but with the wheat and ...
...sort of taste you receive from a bowl of weetabix which i find quite scrummy myself... Packaging Shreddies are awaited to be opened from a large white packet which conatains maybe around 200's worth of these malt squares , and they are placed in a large blue box with all of the details and the making of the shreddies and whats in them!!!... The Nutrients In a 45 gram serving of shreddies , there is... 158 Calories 7.0 grams ... Read review

Fruitful (& nut) Shredded Wheat
Review of Nestle Shredded Wheat Fruitful by bryspy

Advantages: A quick and easy, reasonably healthy, breakfast.
Disadvantages: Chewy raisins and sultanas + nuts if you have an allergy.

...History In 1868 Henri Nestle set up a sales office in London and in 1901 the first UK company was opened. In 1905 they merged with the the Anglo Swiss Condensed Milk Company. Most of the early products were chocolate, of course. In 1990 they entered into a joint venture with General Mills called Cereal Partners Worldwide. Shredded wheat has been around for about 100 years. Packaging A cardboard box which is green across the top with ...
...a symbol of an ear of corn, with a white tick underneath, in a circle. In small letters inside a yellow heart it says Fruitful and in large letters Shredded Wheat. Above this it says Nestles. The pictures on the front depict the shredded wheat (about twice as big as the actual ones) and the fruit. On the back of the box it tells you how whole grain delivers more fibre, vitamins and minerals etc. than refined grain. There is a tab on the top of the ... Read review

Have i dropped a jeans size?
Review of Kellogg's Special K Purple Berries by mrbonner

Advantages: Healthier than frosties & more exciting than corn flakes
Disadvantages: Price

Woo Hoo! I hear you all cry a non cleaning related review! I think this may have been around a year or so now but my local Sainsbury's is very slow at getting in new lines so i only got my hands on theese last week. They are the latest in the line of special K cereals along side red berries & peach & apricot. I was never a fan of special K. I remember as a child in the mid 1980s after my mother had just given birth to my younger brother sitting ...
...k all in the name of getting her figure back. I think this diet may have been abandonned for the mars bar one. I had only ever once tried the origonal special k before as a child but only because we had run out of coco pops! Needless to say i was not impressed it was very bland Yuck! Hence special k never darkened my door again. I have since moved away from home so i can buy what i like the major disadvantage of this being i have to pay for it myself! ... Read review

A Whea-Treat!
Review of ASDA Wheat Bisks by Amy69

Advantages: delicious, versatile, healthy, cheap
Disadvantages: None!

If it were nutritionally advised, I'd me more than happy to live on a diet of nothing more than yoghurts, and weetabix. I eat my way through so much that it's almost unreal. When you do end up enjoying as much bowls of weetabix as I do, you start to feel the strain with the price. That's when I set out looking for an alternative, and came across Asda's own version, Wheat Bisks. Wheat Bisks look like little bricks, and are made from wholegrain. If ...
...shade of brown and look quite rough and crumbly. But if you open up your mind and let your fun side take over, they really can be something of amazement! There are many ways to enjoy Wheat Bisks, there's bound to be something to suit you. There is one way I enjoy them the most. With two Wheat Bisks sitting in the bowl, I like to pour over boiling water so they go soggy. As I do so and give it a little mix, the bran aroma that fills the air is magnificent. ... Read review
