Before I go any further I’m going to point out that this tent was bought on the back of reading several reviews on various websites. Unfortunately the design of the tent has changed considerably since those reviews were written and had I known about these changes I would not have bought this particular tent.Let’s Go Camping - A Parent’s ViewThis tent was purchased in conjunction with the matching tunnel approximately a year ago, taking advantage of Argos’ two for fifteen pound offer. When purchased separately it retails for £10.79 in Argos, but is still included in the offer, making it a ... more

Chad Valley Pop Up Play Tent I have had this pop up tent for as long as I remember, I grew out of it years ago, moved house and still for some reason the tent came with us. So let me tell you how the story of the pop up tent that never left the family came about as well as some useful stuff about the product of course! We’ll start with the facts before embarking on the story of a lonely tent! Setting Up/Taking Down The tent comes in a small circular bag which is ridiculously small compared to the size of the tent. All you need to do is unzip the bag and take out the product. At this point the ... more

This may seem a strange item for me to be reviewing, since my youngest child is 13 years old, however I did purchase this product and do indeed still have it, it was purchased some 10 years ago and as of last summer was still being used. So I decided that gives me a right to review the "Chad Valley Pop Up Play Tent". For as far back as I can remember, there has always been some kind of little play house or play tent, for children to play in and call their own little den. When I was a child I remember I used to use my mums towels and sheets draped over the dining table, and crawl underneath to ... more

My son was actually bought the Chad Valley pop up tent by his grandparents for his first birthday in part of a set where he received the pop up tent, a play tunnel and another tent type part but which had no sides to it so to speak and was just basically a cube with holes in every side to crawl through and things. The tent is still at my son's daddy's house and he plays with it from time to time even now and he is almost six. The tent that my son was bought was a red and yellow somewhat triangular tent which is made out of material. It came packed in a cardboard box and was neatly folded in ... more

There are certain toys which every child has at some point in their life. Perhaps it is bought brand new for them, or perhaps it is passed down from older family members. Either way, most children at some point in their life will have a pop up tent. I had one, and indeed my siblings now have the Chad Valley one. When I was younger I wanted the full set - all the different sizes and shapes of pop up tent, complete with joining tubes. Unfortunately I never did get the lot but I did love what I had, and I imagine that children all over would be happy with it now too as it hasn't changed even ... more
