Must be the Safest Chain Saw you can buy
Advantages: Safe, Low Maintenance Disadvantages: No good for Lumber Jacks
This is quite a unique piece of kit. Ideal for the gardener who has small trees or bushes in the garden and likes to prune off branches.
In other words its for a gardener who does not see need to buy a petrol driven chain saw and have all the maintance problems that come with it. Such as mixing oil and petrol to the correct mixture. And when you have finished useing petrol driven chain saws they need draining off, otherwise they can be a hazard, ... ...shed or garage. So being electric its a lot safer.
I decided to obtain the Alligator as I had a number of overgrown and quiet wild Triffid like bushes that I needed to get rid of. I just wish I had known how quick and efficient it was, as I have become very popular with other members of my extended family, now they all want to borrow it.
How does it work, well as you can see from the image above its like a big 2 handed pair of scissors. To start, ...

The Telford Chainsaw Massacre
Advantages: cuts like a hot knife through butter, safe and easy operation, chain automatically oiled, quiet, light Disadvantages: price
Living out in the sticks has many advantages, but when the trees that run alongside my house decided to have a growth spurt over the summer down mainly to the rain I came to the conclusion that a severe storm would infact leave me at risk of waking in the night to find a branch imbedded into my forehead. After overturning the preservation orders on the trees with the local council and enquiring as to the astronomical prices being charged by tree ... ...at trimming the branches back so far that the trees would think they were regressing back to acorns. Both fancying the prospect of using a saw 15 foot up a ladder and due to the size of the branches a chainsaw was the only option available and something of a boyhood fantasy come true and so the quest through a veritable minefield of chainsaws began in earnest. Taking a look around my local DIY stores it became blindly obvious that I was an amateur ...

Great for the garden - bit small for horror films
Advantages: Cuts through even large branches with ease! Disadvantages: Nothing that bad.
I'm reviewing this great little battery-powered chainsaw which I got from B&Q this summer for the very reasonable sum of £49.98 after deciding a hand saw wasn't going to cut it (ok, no more bad jokes!) when it came to trimming our evergreen hedge.
You can also see B&Q's site for it:

THE CHAINSAW
=
The saw comes in a decent plastic ... ...away when not in use (without losing bits) or carry it around the garden (Do you really want to wander around the garden carrying a chainsaw that isn't in a case? That's asking for trouble if you forget to remove the battery ;-)).
You also get a battery (if you look at the picture of the saw, it's the black bit on the opposite end to the blade) and a charger.
As with all chainsaws the blades need oil on them to work well. Unfortunately this model ...

I'm a lumberjack and I'm okay# ......
Advantages: Able to cut branches up to 100 cm thick. Light weight. Easy to use Disadvantages: Power Cable is not long enough
Oh I love this gadget........
Those Black and Decker boffins have done it again.
First they came up with the Scorpion which despite its design flaws was a pretty cool, time saving gadget and now they've come up with this animal - The Alligator and this is no toy. This literally has teeth.
I have a garden that is above average in size. It has a few trees in it with branches beginning to reach the ground and it also has some weird not-quite-tree ... ...ground with leaves on them. For the last 7 years I've been watching these guys grow and grow and slowly take over my garden. Each year I've made a half-hearted attempt to cut them back but without the right tools it's practically impossible. You need more than a pair of pruning scissors and it was with great delight I saw the Alligator in a recent visit to my local B&Q. As soon as I saw it I knew I'd end up buying it and that's precisely what I did ...

flmo woodshark 2200 is a minnow
Advantages: Great. chain tension wheel; auto oiler, safety switches Disadvantages: poor. cut down two evergreen shrubs (seven footers) the electric motor now sparking.

I think the cutting length is too long for the motor. I think the chainsaw is for light jobs only; nothing over four inches in diameter. Great. chain tension wheel; auto oiler, safety switches
