The game itself is one of a kind. Easy to follow, but experience in previous championshipmanager games would help you to understand the intricacies of this version.
You can select up to 3 leagues from 26 countries, some with summer seasons, and some with winter seasons. You must however, select a main league to be able to select lower divisions for a few of the countries (The English league allows you to select the Conference as well).
Time consuming gameplay allows for lack of commitment, therefore the odd loss in an otherwise flawless start to a season could see you end up reflecting on missing out on a european place or end up closer to relegation.
All players are attributed to a value of 20, which doesn't allow for too much flexibilty. The wages are set to incline, but not quite as much as in real life. As a manager, you ...

The ChampionshipManager series have been by far the best football management games and have provided hours of amusement for footie fans everywhere. ChampionshipManager 00/01 is very similar to the original ChampionshipManager though the manager has more control. You can interact with the media, fine players, hire coaches and physios and use many more functions. So if you think you can do better than you’re teams current managerChampionshipManager is for you.
ChampionshipManager is very realistic and for wanabee football managers this is the closest they will get to the real thing. You can do all the things club managers can do, buy and loan players, beg the board for more money, apply for different jobs at different clubs and even complain about the ref!

---What is CM2?---
Championshipmanager is a management simulation of many different football teams, leagues and players, including the Spanish, French, Dutch and English and Scottish leagues. You can also manage international teams but you must prove that you are worthy first. You must control aspects such as the transfers, some elements of financial business, tactics, team selection, watching the match and organising friendlies. CM2 has been around now for about 5-6 years so it is quite old so you will see Gascoigne playing for Rangers and England, and Owen as just a young player for the under 21 England side.
