---What is CM2?--- Championship manager is a management simulation of many different football teams, leagues and players, including the Spanish, French, Dutch and English and Scottish leagues. You can also manage international teams but you must prove that you are worthy first. You must control aspects such as the transfers, some elements of financial business, tactics, team selection, watching the match and organising friendlies. CM2 has been around now for about 5-6 years so it is quite old so you will see Gascoigne playing for Rangers and England, and Owen as just a young player for the under 21 England side.
---Graphics--- The graphics on this game are good. That is because there aren't many. You don't see the match; you see an animated commentary, which is useful. All aspects are basic but presented well in an easy to read and understand manner. All information boxes are large and text is easy to read and sharp.
---Sound--- There is little sound on this game. The only is the sound effects, which I quickly turned off because of how annoying they were. I would much rather listen to a CD than them. Least they don't throw a terrible pumping beat for you to get really annoyed at.
---Addictiveness--- I thought I would mention how addictive this game is. I would say that CM2 is like reading a good book. Should you be half way through the book, you would always want to finish it to find out how it ends. Well that is what your seasons in CM2 are like. You want to find out if your team is into Europe, whether you have finished above the relegation zone or whether your 18 million pound offer for Ronaldo will be accepted.
---Detail--- This game is extremely detailed and that is why so many people love it. For example, it has information on what clubs players used to play for and their current team, how many appearances, goals, yellow and red cards and man of the match awards. You can see that a lot of time was spent gathering data. There is also a lot of detail in aspects such as managers for clubs, their home ground and the attendance it can hold. There are also some young stars coming up such as the ex Ipswich star Jamie Clapham who you will find under free transfer, before he moved to Newcastle then Ipswich. There are many teams, including teams such as ones that are not in the game to play as such as the Argentinean teams. You can buy players on the transfer market of you can make offers. A nice touch is that it takes a few days for them to get an offer back to you instead of telling you straight away. Players also get injured and they also lose and gain morale. You can see their physical fitness levels so you can use that to drop a player to avoid them getting hurt on the field
---Overall--- Overall this is a great game for the football fanatic, Normal people may get bored after losing 4-0 every time so a bit of knowledge is needed to achieve. The game is good for beginners and advanced users alike due to the fact that you can be top flight clubs if you feel you can't work your way up and everything is already given to you, or you can go to a lower team so you must work your way up the leagues, improving, winning money, and buying new players and developing the ones you already own. Overall, a great game, very addictive and enjoyable that I would recommend to anyone. Available to buy for 5 quid from most places now a days

Championship manager 2 prevented me from doing any work in my first year at A-levels. Whilst revising for modules in March, all I can remember doing is picking up my books and reading them while my old computer loaded the other ‘weekend’ results. I did quite well but that was only due to a couple of important goals from Thierry Henry.
Championship 3 forced me to get a decent computer and although it was still quite ... ...for about 3 years and although I have changed greatly during this time I feel my love of Championship Manager will last forever.

Addiction is the keyword when it comes to this game. Not only is it about a sport driven by passion, it gives you that extra buzz of being in control. Buying the players you love, selling the ones you least like, getting the coaches that match your mentality, basically everything a real manager has to do. This version is an improvement to the previous ones but not really a vast improvement. I personally think that the major improvements between versions ... ...you get more profiles and histories for over 100,000 players and staff within twenty-six leagues. Implementation of the new EU transfer system. Attribute Masking mode - is introduced. Making notes on players. Interacting with your board by issuing them ultimatums. You can appeal against bans and receive fines from the FA. Data Editor is improved. More press headlines. Basically, adding more spice to the game. But, I managed to get over my addiction ...

What a game!, Championship Manager 2 must be the best football management game ever made. This game was so addictive, that during the period when I first got this game, if I was on the computer then it was only to do one thing...play CM2. I am sure that I must have broken the world record for the most hours spent on a game. The game itself is a turned-based game, where the days go by and the games also fly by. This is in contrast to CM3, where it ... ...to arrive. As manager of your favourite football club, you are incharge of all tactics, signings, squad selections etc. When matchday actually arrives, you make team selection from the squad setup and then proceed to the game itself. Although there are no flashy graphics such as 3d renderd players, you are presented with commentary which appears in a bar. You can speed up the game by pressing the spacebar key, also tactics can be changed at any point ...

Review of Championship Manager 2 (PC)
Advantages: World class players to be brought, simple presentation and nice price (£4.99) Disadvantages: Slightly dated due to the release of CM3, transfer options not overly helpful
...I can play the brilliant Championship Manager 2 (which in my opinion is better than the third instalment!!!)
I graduated from the days of playing the original version on my poor old Amiga, until it packed up and went to that computer table in the sky. I used to spend long lonely periods on this game, perfecting my teams and bring on the youngsters and fining Julian Dicks. Those were the days eight pack of beer, 20 embassy and a girlfriend bitching ... ...poor Amiga departed, I discovered Championship Manager 2 (we used to play playstations, for some reason). My lifestyle returned, except this time there was no girlfriend to complain (hooray).
This game is packed with options, and the options are all the important options; buying and selling players, altering tactics and selecting the team. Unlike other football manager games, which seem to want you to be the club accountant, stadium planner, marketing ...

Advantages: Fun, entertaining and surprising. Disadvantages: Cant think of any
This game is the most addictive and best management game ever. I have now been playing this game for a few years and still find a few surprises. In games like this people think buy the best players in the world and you would win the league, wrong. There is an element that the players need to addapt to each other, and i am thinking the game takes in account the fact that players do speak different languages.
I dont know, but i have found that keeping ...

Advantages: Updated and new features Disadvantages: Still slow on average PC
ChampionshipManager2 was by far the greatest football management game ever on the PC. Then they released ChampionshipManager 99/00 which was also a great success. Their newest game, which is actually an update on ChampionshipManager 3, is also selling well and has a few new improvements. Besides updating the various leagues, you now have the ability to fine players and sk the board for additional funds and the like. This is definatley the greatest game on the market, but in my opinion, if you have Chanpionship Manager 3, it is unnecessary to buy this updated version. ...
Advantages: Great Fun, Realistic, Accurate Stats, Big internet community/following Disadvantages: You may be presumed missing if you get too hooked!!
This is the latest in a long line of ChampionshipManager games which just get better and better over time. I first got the CM bug when I bought a PC specifically for playing ChampionshipManager2, and have bought every edition since. The game is so addictive you will wonder where your time has gone, and will spend many Friday/Saturday nights up until 4am trying to lead your respective teams to sucsess.
You handle all tasks that a normal manager would from the obvious things like choosing the tactics (this can be very precise - a tiny thing like bringing a defender up for a corner can make the difference between a win and a defeat), picking the team and buying and selling players, as well as the less obvious like training and dealing with the media.
Graphics and sound are not paramount in ChampionshipManager - if you are used to ...
Advantages: Great level of detail, fantasticly addictive and satisfying to play Disadvantages: Your family may forget you, tedious if your not 100% into it
Many years ago, somewhere around 1996, I bought a computer magazine. This wasn't something I was prone to doing, but I'd just got a new PC and I liked the look of a couple of things on the free cover disc. I soon got bored of these freebies and installed a couple of the demo games. I couldn't tell you what any of these games were, except for one..... ChampionshipManager2.
Since that life defining moment I have spent many hours in front of computer screens attached to that game and those that followed it. I've suffered the frustrations of having a great winning streak, signing lots of good players and progressing well in the cups only to press the 'Continue' button and see the whole application crash. It's very disheartening, but the annoyance can return you to your friends and loved ones for a few days whilst you recover. You ...
