Championship manager 3 now retails for less than 10 so is a very good buy, It runs on the slower end of PCs, I have no problems running it ... ...game uses about 150MB of disk space so doesnmt drain resources as much as the newer version.
In the game you may take control of any club from 15 leagues around the world including the majore earopean and south americn leagues as well as the national teams. You can transfer for any of your favourite players or try and find new talent using your scouts. YOu can assign specifice tactics and training regimes for all players in your team. ... more

Championship manager 3 now retails for less than 10 so is a very good buy, It runs on the slower end of PCs, I have no problems running it on a P90 with 32 MB of ram. The game uses about 150MB of disk space so doesnmt drain resources as much as the newer version.
In the game you may take control of any club from 15 leagues around the world including the majore earopean and south americn leagues as well as the national teams. You can transfer for any of your favourite players or try and find new talent using your scouts. YOu can assign specifice tactics and training regimes for all players in your team. Basically everything involved in modern management, including the inevitable sacking for underperformance.
Graphically the game is good there are many views to watch the game including individual player statistics and overall team performances.
If you have access to a simple network at home you can play multiplayer game and test your whits against your mates, but i must warn you this option can be very addictive especially if you are of competitive nature.
A reccomended buy for those who cannot afford the latest version or those with lower powered PCs

You get the chance to take control of any team from 15 countries around the world and have the chance to sign up coaches, scouts and physios to help you along the way. Then of course there are the players themselves and just like in real life you never know for sure how well a player will fit into your team. Players(like the staff) each have a number of visible stats ... ...is given between 1 and 20, with 20 being the best(eg. Ronaldo, Vieri, etc). However players are also given a number of hidden stats that you can not see, and these can have just as big an impact on player performance as the visible stats.
To add to these hidden stats they also have hidden stats showing their 3 favourite managers and their 3 least favourite players. For example if you develop a young player into a first team player and an international, ...

...train your players etc. Championship Manager has certainly been the most addictive that I have played. However, I am suprised that the graphics and sound have not been updated since the early versions. The possession bar is still the only way of seeing how well your team is performing (as well as player ratings which isn't the best indicator). Other game have also included features such as "Build your stadium" and control over advertising etc. Ultimate ... ...Manager. CM3 could certainly advance considerably in the next few years to include these.
The sound is extremely repetative and you are forced to turn it off after a few days, there is no commentry and there is no game play to see. However, this game has had me up till 4am with me being up for 6am for work, and all day I have been wondering which player to buy, or which player to leave out of my European Squad.

...is the game to get, Championship manager 3. This is the latest in the series of football management simulation's, Made by Eidos (The makers of Lara Croft) they have improved on the early game, in which it was just English football, too now you can manage not just a small club side in Brazil, you can if you prove yourself manage Brazil themselves.
But wait it is not all good news, all these players, teams and stats come at a price. They suggest a ... ...i have a Pentium 3 533, 64mb and windows, and if i run all 26 leagues, it would take me a month to complete a season.
As a player of all the previous games, i agree this is the biggest and if playing around the world is your thing go for it. But to me they have lost something in the gameplay now, im not sure if its not me! expecting to much from it, but no longer do i sit and play for hours, working Reading up from the lower leagues to thrash Man ...

Advantages: Lots of options, if you've time on you're hands Disadvantages: Too easy to cheat, not a real challange
I loved playing this game. I say loved, because I could only play a few seasons before the software gave up on me. It's probably just a conflict between my hardware, which is getting on a bit, and the game which is at it's minimum requirements. So I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. But time after time it would hang and I uninstalled and reinstalled the bloody thing but it always went west just before something interesting was about to happen, ... ...or b)I was about to bag David Beckham for Hartlepool, or sack Sir Bleedin' Alex Ferguson....again.
Presuming it does work ok for every body else then it's a great management game, if that's your bag. No action to speak of, no moving parts at all in fact, if you discount the option of flashing text.
Statto will love it. It's all facts and figures and if you install the whole game, which takes up acres of hard drive space by the way, it is very comprehensive, ...

Finally, at long long last, the best game on PC is out! The first championshipmanagers were good, championshipmanager3 was better but this has to be without a doubt the best! But if your computer isn't up to the specifications, you gotta deal with it, either have a slow game or get a newer computer.
This game has all the best things about all the football manager games and rolls them into 1 except 1 some tiny thing.. the most annoying thing. You cannot watch the games. No matter how many emails they recieve asking for, in a new edition for them to add a feature enabling the viewing of a game, they refuse and point that it is not needed. They still sell it however. I am an avid player of the series and have championshipmanager games totally well in advance of £100. This year they doubled their £20 price tag forcing us all to wait ...

ChampionshipManager3 has always been the best management game on the PC, this version is no different.
Most of the options are the same but as would expect the teams have all been updated as well as the leagues.
The player search is a much easier option and there are now media options within the game for the first time. In this option the media will ask you questions say on a players current playing ability, if you say that something that may upset the player he may slap in a transfer request.
Although there are more options available most CM3 players wouldnt find things that new - the game does run significantly faster and it is so additive ...

This is the BEST football managment simulation for PC. This game makes you feel like a real football manager. This game allows you to manage any team in over 50 countries and you can buy any of 290,000 players on the game (depending on database size).
Football Manager 2007 has improved due to scouting allowing you to be told about the best players which your club can attract. You can do pre match and full time team talks, along with talking to the press before and after the game.
The game is faster than 2005 & 2006 as they have made the game more compressed. This game is much better than ChampionshipManager and shocks do happen as i beat Chelsea 3-0 with Sunderland and i only bought Anelka.
This game is the best football managment simulation on PC to date and is very addictive. You will be on this game for months until 2008 ...
