When you walk into work and a female co-worker comments “Wow, you smell nice”, you realise that you must be wearing a pretty good scent. However, when every female you run into says the same, then you know you are onto a winner.
I usually spent lunch times walking around town, searching for new products. I chat to the Boots Perfume Lady, who always fills my hands with free samples every time I make a purchase. She is amazing – I tell her the occasion, how I want to smell, and she whips out something amazing each time.
This time, I wanted something to wear most days, which would have impact, and make me stand out. She informed me that Chanel Allure was not well known of in our town, and that I certainly would stand out in this. She was right.
A couple of scooshes before work, and I was set. The smell is described by Chanel as “A fresh and sensual harmony with woody and spicy notes.” I would agree with this, and emphasise that it smells sexy. Very much so, and its woody and spiciness keeps it very masculine.
The bottle is lovely. A simple rectangle, in dull beige, which looks very elegant. The scent is strong, so only a couple of squirts are required, or a few dabs if you are using the aftershave. After you apply, get ready for the compliments.
If this hasn’t convinced you, then Chanel has these words for you: “Allure Homme has allowed men to speak for themselves, men who have established themselves in life through their work, their commitment, the sincerity of their expression and their true allure”
However, at £62.00 per 100 ml, it is very pricey! Expect to pay around £30 for a small bottle.
