There seemed to be a phase when cream blushers were very thin on the ground, with major cosmetic brands offering them here and there. Of all those I’ve tried, Chanel’s Aquablush beats the competition hands down, for some really simple reasons. The blush itself is extremely light and glides onto the cheeks very easily. Blending it in is just as simple and requires very little effort. If you want a more vivid shade, just add more.

This is not a cream blush that feels like its turning powdery/crumbling once it’s on the skin, but nor is it a blush that is as thick as something like Clinique’s cream blushers (in fact, the Body Shop cream blushers were lighter than Clinique). It means that getting the right amount on my face and blended takes as little time and effort as possible, with my cheeks benefiting from a more moisturising option to the plethora of powder blushers or heavier creams.

The cost of the Aquablush probably reflects its superior quality, and whilst it is more than I’ve ever paid for a blusher, I have to say that once I did get it, I have not used my other blushers since, unless I have required a shade different to the Aquablush shades I own.

And herein lies the problem. The range of shades this product is available in is quite limited, at least in terms of what I’ve seen available either online or in stores. Unfortunately, the copycat blushers available elsewhere seem to have extended to copying the same shades.

Nevetheless, I’d say that investing in one or two aquablush sticks to have as quality every-day blusher options is definitely worth it. They'll last you a long while and stay high-performing.

This is too expensive for blusher but I might have a look at it as I am having trouble finding a blusher I like since my Lancome one fell down the toilet!
