I had a gift voucher for Boots to go towards it and so decided to splash out. After spending a couple of visits getting samples on card, I returned and ... .../> In comparison to other Chanel fragrances it is quite light and maybe not as overtly sexy as Chanel Allure Sensuelle or Coco Chanel. However, I still get plenty of compliments when I wear it.
I have to say that even though it costs quite a lot of money, I can tell it is a quality product. I have in the price tried cheaper versions, but in this instance I believe that you get what you pay for.

I could still smell it on my clothes that evening and liked it a lot and so I returned a few days later to make a purchase.
What's it like?
I find this part really difficult to describe, but would say that it is a fresh scent and one that is perhaps more suitable for daytime wear.
It comes in a pretty pink box, with matt gold edging and the circular shape bottle is made of sturdy glass, with a pretty silver top. The box is sturdy and protects the perfume well. I bought the spray and it sprays evenly and you don't need a lot.
I have researched and found out that the fragrance notes it contains are Patchouli, Musk, Vetiver, Orris, Vanilla and Jasmine. This didn't mean a lot to me, but it might to someone!! It is so strange because some of these notes are to be found in 'Allure Sensuelle' which I recently reviewed - is perfume making that easy?
Opinion
Overall I found this to be a light and fresh fragrance, but it is still quite a strong and potent perfume. When I spray it on my neck, my skin feels soft and moisturized for a while afterwards. I did note this because I have never noticed this when using a perfume before. It smelt quite floral, not too spicy or sultry. As a gift I think you could buy this for your mum or your sister, but perhaps not your girlfriend - there are better options there.
It does fade after around 5 hours, but I would still be able to detect a faint scent, although I'm sure others wouldn't. So, if you wanted to wear this all day and then go out after work, you would need to top up.
It is very expensive, but as it was bought with birthday vouchers and as I hadn't changed my type of perfume for years, I could justify the expense.
It would be lovely to try the body lotions to layer the fragrance and perhaps that might be something I would do in the future.

You should also not be confused when buying it and get the green bottle, as this is 'Chance Fraiche', which I think is nowhere near as nice.
I believe this perfume has been around since 2002, but it has taken me until now to try it. I will continue to buy it and have to say it does put me in a good mood when I wear it. I will have to knock a star off though for the price.
Availability
It is not the cheapest perfume, in fact none of the Chanel perfumes are. They never have discounts, offers or gift with purchase that I can remember, so you have to really like it to want to buy it. I have seen small size samples available on Ebay, if you wanted to see if you like it first.
I bought mine from Boots as I already had vouchers for the shop and there it costs £42.00 for a 35ml bottle of Eau De Parfum. I was annoyed at this because it was only £38.00 when I priced it up a few weeks before. Still, at least I got Boots Advantage Points!
As you would probably expect it is made in France.
Summary: Another great perfume from Chanel.

Now the free sample is not on of the rub on sort from a piece of cardboard - it’s a proper little glass bottle with a spray – l’eau de toilette. It came in a little cardboard holder which has a picture on it of the usual bottle which is an extremely attractive class bottle with the usual Chanel chic look. It gives all the information re ingredients etc and tells you that this ... ...According to Chanel they have used the finest natural raw materials to produce it – “Grasse Jasmine, and Vanilla and Orris Absolutes” and elsewhere I have seen references to citrus and hyacinth - but I cannot smell these fragrances. Now before I put anyone off completely, I would like to say that something happened several years ago after which I found that I did not like some scents that I had previously liked – they smelled different and not very ...

...seen any other bottles of Chanel that are other than the typical cubiod of No5 and Coco.
Apperntly (according to the Chanel website) the artistic director imagined 'chance' and came up with a perfect circle with a metal band holding the chance in (although it says it much better on their site :))
And that is effectivly what the bottle is. A very fat glass cylinder with a band of silver metal about a centimetre wide around it, and, of course importantly, ... ...a retention of the classic Chanel shape (kind of diamond cut), but is made out of plastic. I know, I know, what did I expect, a crystal stopper? But it kind of ruins the experience when opening the bottle, as the bottle is very heavy, and the lid is very light plastic.
Apart from the lid, I personally think this is an exceptinally pretty and simple idea for a very elegant perfume bottle. The box it came in was gorgeous as well, all pink with gold ...

Advantages: Ooooh, everything! Disadvantages: The price. However, when you save up, its well worth it :)
...teenage girl, a bottle of Chanel perfume would be one of the last options on my list. Its fairly expensive, and being a student money is not of the essence, and its often hard to find a cheap perfume that doesnt leave you smelling like a cheap bar of soap. Most chanel perfumes are aimed at older women i would say, yet this one is different, it's fresh, and smells expensive, unique. It stays on you for hours, and one squirt is more than enough, people had been asking what i had on. Id definately recommend this for under 30's, its classy, yet not too heavy and musky. ...But I have never been Chanel no5 girl. I have been more like Oscar De La Renta, Hugo Boss woman and Ralf Lauren type woman. And being as flight attendant really did help to get my hand for all of those and so many more. I bought lots of perfumes to my friends and especially to my partner. Couple years ago I came loser for my Chanel dream when I bought Chanel eye classes.
After packing my job I had my big 3-0 birthday, and I got lovely present from ... ...look so long that packet. Chanel has always been such a big symbol to me; it's elegant, and chic. And because I love pink I couldn't image any better look packet this new Chanel fragrance. I was over the moon when I open packet and saw bottle inside it. Awww...
It was round flat 50ml eau de toilette bottle with silver collar around it and Chance Chanel name on it. And of course on cork...those famous CC's. I don't know how long I just hold the bottle, ...

't use it for a while. It is also an absolute joy to use and you are buying into one of the biggest, most well-known, most luxurious brands in the world. At this price, though, you may be into Christmas wishlist territory, but it is definitely worth asking for.
