Personally I wear the darker coulours.. RougeNoir (made famous by Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction) and a slightly lighter more metalic dark red Tulipe Noir.

These are very rich colours have a wonderfully glossy finish and are very easily applied (I always twist a tiny bit of cotton wool around the sharp end of a wooden coctail stick & soak it in nail varnish remover to tidy up the edges as darker colours can be tricky!) And the nail varnish itself doesn't seem to go sticky when kept for a while, unlike other brands that I have had in the past.

Why I purchased it
Having spent several weeks avoiding the expensive price tag of a Chanel nail enamel, I ended up trying several 'RougeNoir' lookalikes. From Revlon to No7, unfortunately none of them looked as dark as in the bottle no matter how many coats I applied. So I decided to bite the bullet, headed off to House of Fraser and handed over £13.50 for what I hoped wouldn't be a disappointment.
The Packaging
The 13ml enamel comes in a gorgeous little black and gold glossy box with white lettering. Tip out the bottle of nail enamel and it is a stylish square shaped bottle with a glossy black lid bearing the famous chanel logo in white.
