The actual colour of the aftershave is not its best feature as it is a yellow colour that has the appearance of urine BUT if you can get past this its a great aftershave!!

What's it like?
I am quite allergic to aftershave for some strange reason but I must admit that I have never really had any problems with Platinum Egoiste at all
It's quite an unusual, rich smelling aftershave that has quite a manly smell and is quite strong but doesn't linger or catch. I must admit that whenever I wear it, someone always seems to comment which is good for the ego! It almost has a hint of musk in the smell and rich, fruity spices.
It's a great aftershave for evenings as well as holidays (I always associate this with holidays as I always seem to buy it at the airport and use it on holiday!) as well as for general daytime wear and for work and so on!

Packaging:
The bottle itself is a very sturdy piece of glass which is topped by a large silver, clip on lid. The shape of the bottle is rectangular but with angled corners giving the bottle a rather unusual looking shape. Be careful not to drop this on your foot as it is quite heavy!
The wording on the front of the bottle is: PLATINUM EGOISTE, CHANEL PARIS EAU DE TOILETTE.

Product I bought: I purchased a 100ml/3.4FL.OZ when I was travelling recently. The full price of this eau de toilette vaporiser spray was £40 but it was on sale at the airport for £32 (this was the tax paid price and not duty free as I was only travelling within Europe).
This is the type of aftershave that is not that commonly available compared with things such as Davidoff and Cool Water and it is not and aftershave that is typically reduced in price very often by retailers. I think it would be fair to say that £40 for a 100ml bottle is roughly what you would expect to pay, although some more exclusive stores such as house of Fraser do offer 10% discount days occasionally so you may be able to save some money on your purchase in this way. I must admit that I tend to but this after shave only from duty free (as was!) when travelling as it seems to be the best way to get any sort of reduction off the recommended retail price.
There's also a range of items available in this which includes: more eau de toilette (for example they do a 50ml size but I always buy the 100ml as I think it's much better value) as well as items such as deodorants etc: not the cheapest things in the world to buy!!
Boots normally stock a full range of this aftershave as do House of Fraser, Harvey Nicholls and Selfridges adn it's also available from lots of online perfume sellers at discounted prices.

As it's fathers day coming up, this may be a great present for your dada for him to try or even as a birthday present for your lucky partner! I'll be dropping the hint with the other half and I hope that she listens this time!!
Chanel are no doubt considered by many to be the masters of fragrance formulation, and Platinum Egoiste certainly has a great smell. Its one of their most expensive frangrances - so wait till you're at the airport to buy it cheaply - but they probably know just how good it is, and it probably is worth the price. Sends people wild with desire - well almost - and isn't irritating or drying out as many after-shaves tend to be. Definitely a must with ...

The fantastic fragrance of Chanel Paris has been in my household now for over a year. At first I used to steal my dads but at the Christmas just passed, I opened up 2 of my favourite Chanel fragrances. The first was Platinum Egoiste Chanel Paris – Eu De Toilette which came in a small luxurious box. The smell of it was extremely strong and with just one spray, you smelled fantastic for hours upon hours! ... ...The second was Platinum Egoiste Chanel Paris – Deodorant which came in a black rectangle box which yet again looked really luxurious indeed. The scent wasn’t as strong as the Eu De Toilette but with the 2 on, you would be the best smelling pupil in your school. The container itself is a rounded rectangle with a black screw lid.
