An ultimate blemish control treatment Helps restore skin's oil-free conditions Effectively polishes the problem area Visibly reduces excess oil while moisturizing
Advantages: Smooth hydrating, luxurious cream. Disadvantages: Expensive compared to high street products
ChanelPrecision Hydramax Moisture Boost Cream is a truly luxurious treat for your skin. I was lucky enough to be treated to this gorgeous product during a pre-christmas shopping trip, which made life a lot easier for my boyfriend as the product was recommended at the Chanel counter to us based upon my skin type. I would highly recommend anyone considering luxury skin products such as this to visit the actual in store counter to try before they shop online and buy. Plus they often give you free samples to take home, fantastic!
So whats it like?
I have problems with fairly dry skin so I needed something to hydrate my skin without making it greasy and bringing me out in spots. The blue cream is very thick and well, creamy, which actually makes it great value for money as you only need apply a small amount to your face. Once ...
Advantages: My skin feels less clogged up, smooth and just looks better. Disadvantages: It's so expensive, £15 for a face mask... I can live without this one.
I am a huge fan of Clinique's Anti-Blemish range. I have olily spot prone skin and I find using their products really help, namely the clarifying lotion and the spot treatment gel. They recently brought out the Anti-Blemish cleansing mask in their anti-blemish range and whilst buying my clarifying lotion I decided to give this new poduct a go, as I've been so impressed with the other products!

Advantages: Formulations for all skin types (cream, gel and lotion), smoother skin that feels toned after a couple of applications, matching serum top-up for extra dry skin, one jar lasts for ages and smells fresh, clean and gorgeous. Disadvantages: Prohibitively expensive for a straight-up, non anti-ageing facial moisturiser. Lightly perfumed and non-hypoallergenic - unsuitable for sensitive skin.
Dehydration appears to be the new buzz-word for the skincare and cosmetics industry. Everything from the hair on your head to the nails on your toes needs to 'drink more water' which can only be done - say the alchemists of cosmetology - by smearing semi-organic fats and acids that owe more H2SO4 than H2O liberally over every part of your body. It's all twaddle, but twaddle that's resulted this time in whole ranges of creams and lotions that claim to do one job: moisturise.
For the long-term cosmetically confused, like me, who've spent years arguing the losing point across the cosmetics counter that it's all well and good having silk, elastane and extract of TARDIS in it BUT WILL IT MOISTURISE MY SKIN? They're all at it now - moisture delivery and the War Against Dehydration (WAD) is officially ON! And Chanel are late into the fray ...
