Chanel Precision HydramaxMoisture Boost Cream is a truly luxurious treat for your skin. I was lucky enough to be treated to this gorgeous product during a pre-christmas shopping trip, which made life a lot easier for my boyfriend as the product was recommended at the Chanel counter to us based upon my skin type. I would highly recommend anyone considering luxury skin products such as this to visit the actual in store counter to try before they shop online and buy. Plus they often give you free samples to take home, fantastic!
So whats it like? I have problems with fairly dry skin so I needed something to hydrate my skin without making it greasy and bringing me out in spots. The blue cream is very thick and well, creamy, which actually makes it great value for money as you only need apply a small amount to your face. Once applied I found it absorbed quickly and had a smooth cooling sensation, which instantly made my skin feel soft and fresh. This is coupled by a deliciously clean crisp fragrance, not too overpowering and not at all medicinal. There are extracts of lavender in this product, but overall it does not stink of flowers, which is good if you also wear a perfume as the two will not compete.
But does it actually make a difference? Personally, I cannot believe I did not find this product sooner. It is the best I have ever tried for my skin. I use it both as a stand alone product in the morning to give my skin a boost and also before applying my usual makeup and foundation as it provides a good base.
Is it worth the price tag? It is not the cheapest moisturising product around, and as it has the Chanel label there are seldom special offers in store but I see this product as an investment. Prior to buying this I tried several different combinations of products, which all add up. I estimate that this pot will last me around 3 months, so that equates rounghly to £10 a month. I could easily have spent this much on many different items which did not work for me. I guess it comes down to finding a product which works which you can stick to, and for me its Chanel Hydramax +.
